Went and checked on the body progress today. A little more done. Going to pick it up in a couple of days and trailer it down to WCB along with my wheels/tires so they can get the tubular core support and rolling chassis finished.

Kept getting the run around from the body shop. They kept pushing it off. Finally went and picked it up. Now I have to find someone to pick up where they fell short. Overall its looking good, just needs detail attention. Anyone know any good paint/body shops in Las Vegas?...

Wow man, it looks great. I lvoe watching these things come together. Good luck on the paint and body shops. I don't have personal experience but man the horror stories are consistent. Sorry I can't be any help there.

Does WCB not do body work? Seems like specific Bronco shops are the best way to go.

I'm not sure. Figured I would get it done here in Vegas and then trailer it down to them. Knowing how most body shops are I wanted to be able to watch the progress first hand.

Project looks killer so far! Curious though, looks like they did some fresh work on that OE-style front clip and core support. Seems like that was wasted work/money if you're chopping that off for a tubular core support.

To answer Izzy's question, WCB doesn't do paint or finish body work. I know John tries to avoid that part of the project or encourage the customer to have it done at a reputable body shop, so they can focus on what they do best--suspension, fabrication, etc. When I was part of WCB we did a few frame-off projects that included body and paint, but we farmed it out.

Dusty, the front core was has not been touched since I bought the body. The body shop I picked it up from had done work to it before I got it. I even made sure this shop did not weld the front core to the new kick panels (just going to be pulled right back off). I have no use for the front core after we remove it so if anyone needs one...

Yeah be sure to post it up in the parts section, many could use it. I could myself. If you ever head west at all out of Vegas area let me know I could meet you somewhere. I am in Bakersfield.

Tito, we will be removing it down at WCB (outside Palm Springs). I can leave it there for you to pick up if you would like.

Tires are mounted. The wheels are Walker Evans 17" beadlocks with 3 3/4" BS. Loaded everything up on my trailer (tub/wheels/tires/transmission/engine/body parts) and ready to drive it down to West Coast Broncos on Thursday.

Just got home from West Coast Broncos. It was a 3 1/2hr drive to get there but I arrived in one piece with a trailer and truck load of stuff for them. What a great bunch of guys. They were really cool and down to earth. I finally got to see my rolling chassis with the new wheels/tires. We set the fiberglass fenders on the tub so I could get an idea of how it is going to look. It was exciting to finally get everything together in the same spot. I was totally impressed with their craftsmanship. They have a lot of pride in their work. I cant wait to see it in a week or two when they have it all together (mocked up I guess).

Engine/trans/transfer case on the chassis. Almost starting to look like a Bronco...
