Well it has been a little while and the truck has been sitting but I have been cutting some patches for some holes in the body that I am hoping to install this week. I Really need to get my siding done but I have no motivation after coming off of a few weeks of second shift. So today I procrastinated a bit more and finished up the dash. Primed and one coat of Wimbledon white, need to pick up another can.

I just realized what I started with is actually in the wrench weekend thread so here was the repair and kind of a before picture.

Well back to the first page. I had sandblasted the whole floor in preparation of patching a few holes and then applying the Al's liner I have been saving for this. Well the patches did get done but I saved the Al's a bit too long! Undeterred, I tossed the Al's and ordered some Raptor liner and then headed over to Hank's for his wrenching day. I left the next morning on a trip and I fly home today. The Raptor liner is waiting at home for installation. I also ordered a new heater core and Chevy blower motor from Rock Auto. Along with a reseal kit from taskers parts emporium, I will rebuild a heater box. The refreshed dash is ready and I have a spare column so I should be able to button up the inside in short order. Pictures after the raptor is in, boy is it ugly now but the raptor should drastically improve that.

I always find that spending money is the easy part, getting money to spend is a bit more difficult. Finding time to work on it is the most difficult.

I have to check my calendar first but she is still in bed! ;D Need to kick it in gear on the north side of the house as well. Doors should be in and I need to get that side buttoned up before the snow flies. I do have some hired help for that though, but a good deal of prep needs to happen first. This will be my priority in the next week or two. Raining for the next few days but I hope to get the Raptor sprayed soon as well.

Doors showed up but they ordered the wrong ones for me. I gave them an RO of 33 3/4" so it should have been a 32" door but they ordered me 36" doors. One door I can reframe but not the other one so I am waiting to hear back from them. This gave me a windfall in the time category so I played a bit. A few weeks back I took out the blaster and took the surface rust and loose paint off. I was all ready to roll and brush on the Al's liner but it was past the shelf life so I had to start from scratch. I placed an order for Upol Raptor liner on the advice of tasker and it showed up last week while I was on my trip.

This morning I took the time to etch prime the raw metal and then get to spraying on the Raptor liner. Very pleased on how it came out so now I can start putting seats and roll bar in. It certainly is easy enough to prep and apply.
