You mean besides having someone else do it?🙄
Not really…

I will say though, sounds like lots of members have come up with interesting ways of doing it by themselves over the years. And most seem to work pretty well for them. Hopefully they’ll pop in with their solutions.

Can anyone help me out? I need some measurements off a stock tire carrier that is mounted.

All 4 I have are bent. They are all 1/2-1” off from each other. I need center of tube to center of tube. Or bottom of pins to bottom of pins.

Time to weld! I ended up at 14-15/16th. That was the most square we could make it. My friends built this jig for welding it.

Well this is stressful. Gosh I hope my paint doesn’t crack or a seam doesn’t split. Fingers crosssed.

You going to make the upper mount so it doubles as a CB antenna mount? :)
Could be a cool option.

Of course!
Well, ok, maybe only me and I don't even do it very often anymore. But for those that go off roading in the sand dunes, a tall flag/antenna/light pole is a requirement in some places.
So there might bet yet another reason for the mount.

But I was just reminiscing really. Back when CB's were THE THING I always thought that the stock carrier upper pivot would make an excellent mounting point. Even better for those that had a new bumper mounted carrier and didn't like the four holes left over from removing the old hinge pivots. Just like always, my mind is stuck in the past.
Better than stuck in the gutter at least!
