Current Questions:

76 9" housing had the drop in seals in the housing, but the new axles have the tapered bearings with the seals on the outside so the inner seals aren't required, right?

Fuel Plumbing:

Love to hear your thoughts. I am running single tank (poly for now until I can afford to have an 18 gallon aluminum built). Looking at SS hard lines with braided on the ends or running braided the whole length.

Thanks!

correct, remove the stock seals, the gear oil lubs the bearings on the tapered set 20's

Thanks and that's exactly right.

I got a bad case of the "while I'm at its" and that led me to a bare frame LOL

I suggest you buy allot of beer and invite or make allot of friends if you planning 2017 events.

Other than that get a big ass white board and list everything you need to do and erase things as they get done. Stuff pops up in you write it down on the white board so it can be properly managed. Leave a section of the whiteboard for buy it lists. Some parts can get hard to get right after the Christmas specials and at the start of spring. Your shotgun approach to refurbing the whole truck can leave you all hung up with multiple missing parts. Buying and shipping logistics can be worse to foul up your plans than the actual manual work involved.

Wanna race Crawdsd ;-)

Rusty truck I know it's ambitious to say the least. I've got some good EB guys in my corner so that will help.

And the bay door in front of the chassis already has a list started on it in mark erase :)

Thanks Dave!

Got my frame lined out (had to repair behind the rear shock mounts).

Going to start coating the frame next week and hopefully assemble the rear end.

Switch over to 2004 mustang hydroboost, got the Ebay kit with the adapter and linkage.

Have been sent the wrong 4x4 box twice for the 4x4x2 build, still trying to decide if I want to stay on that path...

Hi all- new to the forum and looking for advice. I've got a '72 bronco that I would like to start carrying 1-2 kayaks on in short distances. My question is, does the roll bar and windshield (particularly the windshield) have enough support for the kayaks or should I look into getting a 4pt cage for behind the seats to better spread out the weight of the kayaks?
Thx, Tom

Tom, you need to post your own thread for this question to get meaningful responses, but I wouldn't recommend putting the kayaks directly to the windshield frame without at least bracing the frame to the roll bar so it doesn't bounce. Much better off with a different cage to carry the weight.
