Starting tacking up the truss and lower axle brackets. For now I have a couple new puppies in my life that have taken over my time... Those little bastards run me dry when it comes to sleep, haven't been able to do much...
I have finished making the upper brackets and drilling them out to 3/4" for the bolts. Next up is tacking the rest of the brackets and cutting pvc and cycling the axle for clearance.

Also, I forgot to mention. I teamed up with Scott over at Dakota digital to create a one of a kind speedo exclusively for ASC. It's our take on the original, only modern. The coyote on the top of our speedo is our future logo. Copy right infringements forced us to put our name ASC or our logo on this. What do you guys think?

I think you need me to beta test that out and report back. Just send one on over.

I LIKE that speedo!

I wasn't really liking the regular Dakota Digital because it just didn't look like a Bronco part to me.

That looks like a Bronco part.

+1 on that. DD doesn't look right, but yours does

I wanted it to look like an OEM piece but, I didn't want to have any issues from Ford. I think this will work great for everyone that wants to keep he classic look but have modern digital functionality. We're gonna be offering this soon to the public, I'll let you all know. I'm excited to see what it will look like lit up at night!!

With 4hrs of sleep, I was able to get some more work done yesterday, I was able to measure up and cut the links out of pvc and tack up the truss. The truss was on the wrong angle and had to be removed and redone. I didn't have enough time to tack the brackets to the frame... So that will be part of next week. Next up I'll be removing the track bar, removing the radius arm brackets and finally dropping the motor in to check clearances.

I was able to get more work done the last couple of days. I talked about removing the track bar bracket and stock radius arm brackets. Both were removed and the frame was cleaned up. Next came a lot of measuring. We had to get the axle centered and also straight before I started tacking on all link brackets. Next came measuring for clearances and binding. I'm putting in the order for the steering very soon. Looks like I might be getting rough stuff 7/8" heim steering and be going with a ram assist too. I wanted full hydro, but I think it's gonna be overkill.
Engine was dropped in shortly after I tacked up all the brackets into place, we cycled the axle and all went well. The only thing that concerned me was the shock brackets at the axle. I'm gonna figure out something better there.. Soon I will be starting the rear 4 link with full float 9" 35 spline!!

Awesome build that you have going so far. Great job with getting the functional tailgate worked into the original fiberglass body. That definitely took alot of headscratching im sure but it came out great. Four link in the front is looking good and anxious to see what you do in the rear. Your build and others on this site are lighting a fire in me to make some serious changes to mine once I am out of the hospital and healed up. Keep up the great work and can't wait to see it all come together.

Oh yeah, I really like what you did with the speedo and the original style of font for the numbers and lettering. Looks like it will really blend in nicely and look like it came in the Bronco from the get go. Having said that, I have only one change that I would possibly make to it and this all depends on how it ends up looking in the end. The RPM Numbers get a bit LOST in the Silver ring around the speedometer arm and I was wondering if you could possibly maybe make the silver ring around the speedo arm a bit smaller so that the RPM numbers are not lost in the silver bezel. Even the way that it is I think it is a home run for the cluster. However, I think it could be even nicer if you could possibly give the Tachometer their own space where they will stand out and not possibly look like an afterthought. Hopefully that makes sense but I still really like the looks of the cluster. ;D

Thanks for your support Broncitis

Yeah the functional tail gate was definitely a head scratcher, but definitely worth it. The 4 link is starting to come together. I just ordered a few new bracket and tabs. I may be switching out the front uppers frame mounts, we'll see.

Glad you're doing well, I hate hospitals. Specially the ones that have no idea what they're doing.

Thanks for the input on the speedo, I will take that those changes into consideration. We only have limited space to work with, not much can move around in there. I like were you're going tho and we'll see what we can do!
