I don’t want to hijack but keep looking for an answer. Still has the original dealer sticker on the gate.

The "Special Paint" designation on the Marti is probably referring to the top being finished in body color instead of Wimbledon. I can't see all of the Marti, but was the Bronco a special décor?

Could be, but there is no paint color on the plaque

1976 Ranger in Midnight Blue Metallic

Original paint

I imagine this was originally lighter in color. The aluminum flecks (for metallic) would've oxidized over time. The interior color is a shade brighter.

Don't think this is factory.;)
But wanted to bump this thread. Love looking at all these old pictures. BTW, this 77 was originally the same color as Slowleaks 77.

Nice bronco funny that it is a ranger with no passenger mirror.

It's quite the liability. Parallel parking, or any kind of backing up or siding up to a curb is a hassle without that mirror. Originally I was going to put a mirror on, but I'm going to leave it stock for now...perhaps figure out how to remove that door ding...:)

1970 Reef - Color code "Y". I always thought the full name was "Reef Aqua", but looks from the charts as just Reef. Great post, by the way! Cheers, B2

Does any one know how many silver Broncos were made in 1976 ? Made total of 432 silver in 77 per Marti just curious combined total since silver was supposed to be available sometime after February in 76 .

This was brought up recently on this forum and I don't know if it was conclusive on the total silver Broncos in '76...(confirmed by a '76 Marti report). So, you must have a Marti on your '77. You should post it up on the 'Share your Marti' thread here on ClassicBroncos. The thread was started by BroncoJack if you want to do a search for if. It was near the top not long ago.. Welcome to the forum too, by the way!

Do you have pictures?

Depends on what year. Many charts actually do show it as "Reef Aqua" and that's always how I've remembered it too.
