It's an official standard Bronco color as well. One of the nicer ones and seems to hold up to old age better than most did back then as well. I've seen a couple recently that were original and, although certainly faded, looked excellent.
I bet a standard detail job at a car wash would make them look almost new again!

Pulled the cage to weld up the spots that couldn't be reached while it was in the bronco. Also got the door put on my passenger seat storage.

Looking good! Tell me,was the reason you built up the passengers side similar to the drivers side two fold? One to possibly use different style brackets for seats and the other for storage as well? I thought of doing the same thing and what thickness of sheet metal did you use? Thanks bud! rich

Rich,

Two fold in a way, I think it looks cleaner with both the driver side and passenger side equal lengths, kinda looked goofy to me without the doors on and the big gap under the passenger side. The extra storage is a plus, the seats are going to be tied to the cage so they will be sitting above this (see pics kinda hard to see but should give you an idea). It is 18 gauge sheet metal.

I think it looks cleaner also and agree about the gap,are you going to also make storage under the drivers box as well? It's going to look sharp when you're done! Thanks for the gauge of sheet metal and i'm looking forward to watching it come together! rich

Putting weld nuts on top for connection to windshield. Welding in a mirror comes 2nd nature to me ;)

don't know if anyone cares or is aware but if you are going with led lights, most of them point straight out the back so a reflector really wont matter. if the light doesn't point to the rear or 360* like a traditional incandescent bulb then the light will not point to the reflector to be able to reflect..just sayin!!!!

lol, good to know :)

I will be leaving the driver side as is for now but the thought has crossed my mind. Right now I want to get this phase finished so I can drive the bronco for awhile.

That.looks.awesome. Great color, bet you couldn’t be happier. (Well I guess if it was all put together and you were driving it would put it another notch up;D)

Parting is such sweat sorrow.

I'm just moving across the country so we'll be together again, soon.
