• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

I've been hanging on to this great beast for a long time, but I'm ready to move on...

I bought this 74 in Ft Collins Colorado in 1988. I think I'm the second owner. Fortunately for me, he did most of the work. Here's the history as I know it...

3-speed, J-shift transfer case, 351W, drum brakes, power steering, dual cherry bombs, recovered back seat, roll bar.

PO put the lift, dual shocks, Hurst floor shifter, cut the fenders, hood scoop, interior plywood "walls" in the back, and dropped in a 1975 351W. I drove it for years in Colorado, South Carolina, and Mississippi and then gave it to my sister while i was overseas. During that time, I installed power steering and a soft top, added a rollbar, and rebuilt the underside (steering linkages, poly bushings). About 1997, the transmission broke and it went to my Dad's warehouse. It sat in the warehouse until 2013!!! I decided to bring it out in 2013 to Virginia, and went through another round of minor upgrades like a rebuilt transmission, re-installing the hard top, 3-point seatbelts, new poly fuel tank, tires, brake lines, etc.

Here's the "not so good"... I dented the right side back in 1989, and it resulted in a new passenger door and glass front fenders (they still look good!). The first tailgate rusted through, so it has a replacement (that now has a rust hole on the bottom). It is very solid and in good shape (door frames, posts, windshield, etc), but the rockers are a little rusty. Being a not-so-great mechanic, the one that really stumped me was the floorboard. The e-brake works, but you can't use it because the driver floorboard finally pulled through where the cable attaches.

As of today, I haven't driven it in 2 years. I would be extremely happy to see somebody care about it more than I do right now.

Big picture: it's in pretty good shape, but needs a couple of things to get back on the road.

I'm interested. PM me your cell number and I'll call you. Thanks. How do the floor look under all that carpet?

Sold!

It's sold. Stayed in the state though!;) We picked it up This past Sunday. Really cool story and the owner was great to meet and talk to.

I am missing the boat on the rear seat also. Went back out and looked it over and looks like a factory bronco seat to me. Been recovered and missing arm rests like a lot are. A very solid truck and am looking forward to building it for my brother.

I was just kidding on the rear seat, thought the original questioner was joking, but yeah, thats just a stock rear seat.
