Thanks for the compliment and the heads up! I tried getting the later one and it had bottom hose vs the hose out the front like yours had. To find one with hose out front I had to go earlier. I'll check part numbers later in the week and confirm bore size.

I'm also curious if J small had heavy duty pressure plate. The slave cylinder part number is consistent between 150/250 and across many years.

NAPA NCF 72176 is the mc I have. They also list the one with the bottom outlet- NCF 72177. Both are 95 F250 listings.

I ended up with 72170. Plastic housing so hard to compare piston size.

Got bc hose today
Was expecting it to plug right into slave. No such luck. End for slave is same as master. Is there a quick connect adapter I'm missing here.

I do believe that adaptor is held into the slave with a roll pin similar to the master.

Yes it has brass plugs. Actually a fully rebuilt trans. I played in and out with the drive train last night and you are correct take out the adapter and the BC cable plugs right in.

And yes thanks for the heads up so I didn't have to do that with the body on!

I see that! Did you get the mounts loose or welded?

While the body's off, put your front driveshaft in. You may find that you have to clock the D20 up one set of holes for the upper joint to clear the crossmember. Are you going with twin sticks on the transfer case? If so, the trans needs some rib trimming and the twin stick mount will need a minor mod if the case gets clocked.

I saw the DS looked like it would be close. I ll check it out. Was going to try and use the stock T shift. Just looks like it would end up much further back unless I fab a mount and Bend M5 shifter.
On the crossmember it seems to short or my frame is off. Dust BTW Fram rails is 23 9/16" crossmember is only 23 wide??

My crossmember (same one as yours) wasn't perfect either, but it sucked right in when bolted down. I do believe mine was a little tweaked from when it was welded.

As for the shifter, I ended up pie cutting mine and pushing it towards the passenger side as it was too close to my right leg in second gear.

So still moving along. Working on plumbing and wiring this weeks. Had to solve some "issues" on brand new brake line kit and getting started on chassis wiring. Harnesses are in pretty good shape.

Questions:

Any suggestions for a 1 wire alternator that shares the same old style bronco case and brackets yes still has stator output?

Would a 2000 f150 perm mag 4.2 starter work with my m5r2 trans and 164 tooth flywheel or stick with stock bronco manual starter?

Some updates. Dash was taken to bare metal and painted wimbeldon white. Had many layers of rattle can on it chipped scratched etc.

Hopefully getting wiring done this weekend!

Got a starter from a 95 f150 manual that appears to work with original bronco flywheel and M5R2.

How did the crossmember work out?
Crossmember looks fine. Front driveshaft looks like it will clear without any issue. Tcase is at stock rotation on adapter and drivetrain. Is at about 4 degrees with carb base on manifold at 0.5 degrees.
I made a bracket for T shift handle. I wanted to keep it in stock hole and possibly use factory cover. Not really doable. Decided to go with boot but was able to keep almost stock hole and only extend about 1.5 inches back.

Exhaust is another story. Looks like front d's may hit it. I may hold off on front druveshaft and push forward in 2wd so I can get this back on the road.

Rear DS came out to be 30 inches but may need shims to get better pinion angle. The M5 I have is slightly shorter version out of 1999 and later 4wd 4.2l
