forgot you're running a toploader. I made my own linkage and brackets for it, but I see you've reinforced yours to be strong. Is that advance stuff. I repopped what Duff and Stroppe built. I may send you a set to mock up when you have time and can pack as a spare linkage..... unless you have duplicates of what you already have. The old Duff and Stroppe are really strong.

The brackets are a combination of Tom's three speed and home fabricated...I sent a pm about linkage...

Made the two panels that go between the rockers and frame. Mounted the front bump stops. Installed the steering dampner bracket. Started sorting out my rear brakes with the Warn full float kit. I plan on flipping it right side up next weekend...

More grinding, welding and some paint...at least all of the areas easily reached while it is upside down. Tomorrow evening it will be right side up, gotta wait for the paint to dry or it would be topside already.

Also filled in the holes on my rear backing plates and drilled them to fit my housing ends.

Today was a productive day!

First, I installed my custom shackles by Migs. Then I installed my leaf springs. A porta power and floor jack make this easy work for just one person.

Next, I installed my NASCAR style inner axle seals in my rear housing. These seals should stop the leak problems associated with the Warn full float kit.

Then I installed my carrier. It is a Mosher Wavetrac, 4:88 to 1. Damn is that rear end heavy. I wound up using a come along attached to my ceiling just to get it from my bench to the floor.

Then I installed my rear axle. I bolted my Warn spindles and hubs on, no outer seals yet, and put the tires on...

Next I installed my Wrap trap. It is just tacked in for now. I shortened it to fit between the frame rails. I need to put some weight on the back to try and get the angle correct.

Installed rear bump stops.

Yes, he does!

Installed my Beard seats so I can figure out where to weld my mounts for the five point harnesses.

Got a little more paint on the front.

Mounted my 4x4x2 steering box. Tacked my 5 point harness mounts into place. I will finish weld them later once I am sure that they are where they need to be...

Snow day, so I got in some more garage time...

Installed my pinion guard. Finished buttoning up my center section. Loaded the rear up with 400 lbs of wood pellets and about 70 lbs of lead weights. Trying to get my new 5 1/2" lift leaf springs down closer to ride height. Got some paint on the middle skid / belly plate. Did some figuring as to rear shock mounts...

Had a nice chat with SCORE and reserved my race number, 399. Same number as I ran in '97.

Welded my harness mounting points. Cut my floor pan to clear them. Reinforced the transfer / transmission mounts. I will drill them once the motor and transmission are installed. Put the dash in for mock up. Started installing my Duff radius arms.

Just heard today that SCORE is strongly considering a vintage vehicle class at future 500 and 1000 races.

They're also opening up the rules a bit on Class 3 so rear coilovers and a few other changes will be allowed.
