I would rather had it before they got it just my opinion. When I see these broncos and I look in the background I see all those broncos waiting to go under the knife it makes me sad:cry:

I feel the same way.

Interesting, just not my flavor.... To me, every scratch, dent, rattle and imperfection is a story. Its condition is "earned" over time. Restorations can be their own stories and a new start for the Bronco.... This is one foot in either direction.. Its not a completed restoration and its a far cry from being original. Certainly not a "Derelict" in its current form.

This screams "I'm rich but I want to play being poor." It would be different if it was a guy doing this to his own rig but this is icon. They sell Broncos for 200K. This just rubs me the wrong way.

Meh. I like the survivor aspect, but not really a fan of the icons.

I love it, but we all have different tastes. I’m a fan of all ICONs work, but especially like this one due to keeping the integrity of the original body. It still seems like a survivor to me, but with major improvements to driveability....infinitely more fun to drive than if the original drivetrain had the 170 ci I6.

Most of us have modified our Broncos to some degree and I have to think this is likely what many of us would do if funds were not an issue.

That Bronco would be safer as a six than the new engine. Now he can get it up to 110 Mph or more with just his hair for protection. Cant even keep your hat on at that speed. Well maybe they can since they wear their hat backwards.

That's if he has hair;D

I don't know about now but back in the 70's and 80's you had to have some kind of roll bar in one if you had the top off in Ms.

I got a warning once for not having one but alot has changed since then. They where a lot more on the road then.

I think the Icon builds are top notch, but at what point are these no longer broncos? Other than the sheet metal, what else is a bronco?

Perhaps I'm an old stodgy purist, but I like the mechanics of the early bronco as well as the sheet metal.

Amen to that. I know everyone has opinions concerning how much modification they want when building their own Bronco, but at what point is it no longer a Bronco. These Icon built units are top notch I'll agree, but what would be the difference in it and say putting a Bronco body on a brand new, modern Toyota FJ Cruiser,or a Land Rover chassis?

Sooooooo…. Since the only original parts on mine are the frame, d20 and sheetmetal, I can't call it a Bronco?%)

How about a "poor boy" 66' u15 lol. The 16" skinnies look good though  It's going to be cush inside and underneath, the exterior isn't going to change much. It's got a beastly rear tire/fuel can rack than stretches all the way across the tailgate, will have a pto winch on the front. Probably not going to repair any dents or holes. ;D
