Here's a few the black wheeled pic's are the 33" x10.5" x15" and the one shot on silver wheel are the 255/80/17 BFG's. A question for the folks that build LUBERS with a wider tire/wheel combo do you just run a huge bump stop to keep the tire from hitting the rear quarters/wheel openings??

1sicbronconut, what is the width of both sets of rims you used. Did you roll the inside if the fender lip?

Educate me. How do you move the axel back that one inch? I can't visualize it without having the axel housing not resting on the apex ofnthe springs.

I did a write-up on this last year, here. It's pretty simple, just need to drill a couple new holes.

Yup rolled and trimed the rear lip, I also put the quarters on it and moved them back 3/4" but moving the axle is way eaiser. The factory Ford mags are 6" and the 17" Dodge steel wheels are 7" with the centers enlarged to fit the Ford hubs..

Nice pics guys.

I'm doing DIY4x's Easy-Inch Kit, $36 delivered to my door (http://diy4x.com/product.php?productid=17722&cat=0&bestseller=Y). There is no cutting and welding of perches. It's basically all bolt-on pieces. Only fab work that needs to be done is machining or drilling a hole in your spring plate. Other than the labor that's really about it. Their kit allows you to move your axle back 1" or 1.5", I chose the 1". It is a 1" thick block that will raise your axle up as well. Obviously moving the axle back an inch may cause a conflict with your driveshaft length. Again no welding and they provide all the hardware.

I saw this got resurrected. Thanks for the responses. I did get the 33" tires in and moved the axle back. Prior to moving the axle I did maul up the fronts of fenders a bit on the first off road trip. Moved the axle back and then started rubbing and slightly bending the rear passenger fender at full articulation. No way to win for me! LOL.

Dang dude!

Check this out....Maybe it's the angle, but your axle appears to be further back than mine which I also moved back one 1". Notice how the front of my tire is just slightly back from the front lip of the rear opening. Yours looks much further back????

The drivers side is right on. The passenger side is off. I've measured everything from ever point. I even disassembled to add wedges and confirmed that. Am in the correct spot w the zero leaves. Only thing I can think of is when the PO replaced the rear quarters w donor quarters then didn't have it lined up well. Even had a friend driven behind me to make sure I was tracking straight, which it was.

Really not sure how to correct this right now, other than cut it n put the axle back to its normal position, but I really dig my lubr.

Even if you do cut it the axle moved back 1" will keep it centered better. That said, I agree and like your LUBR too.

Shoot I'd leave it alone if it rides well. If it were me I'd modify the rear lip of the fender and still keep the LUBR look. I like the look you have.
