Picked up some parts yesterday. Found a set of used 235 75 15 Goodyear Duratracs for the slots. These aren't exactly what I wanted but I'm still not 100% sold on running the slots. These will hold me over while I decide.

Duratracs are great! About halfway between a mud and an AT. They'll look good on slots.

Nice rack! (Although I wish this was in response to a different pic! ;D )

Just make sure you bring yours over as a replacement.

Thanks Jeff!

Man, you don't want mine. It's high mileage! ;D
I've had Duratracs on my DD Jeep for 3 years. I really like 'em.

Got the slots one step closer to being done today. Polished with black and green compounds. Next is to get the tires mounted and then will do a final hand polish.

Thanks. On the rack, if you want one I suggest browsing your local craigslist. May take some time but I bet one will pop up at a good price eventually.

That's what a bronco tank would look like! Sweet.

Ha, had not even thought about that. Just needs a little more lift.

Here is the first rim fully polished. Not my best work, but look appropriately old for a 40 year old truck.

If that's not your best work, then all I can say is "Wow!"

Got the slots on this evening. Not sure I like them better than the stock rims/hubcaps though. Will roll them for a while and then decide.

My front is an inch or two lower than the rear (picture below) and I'd like to bring it up to level it. I've done some searching on the forum and have seen the Moog springs recommended, specifically the CC812 and/or the CC810. From the specs below the CC812 is a stock replacement spring for a Bronco and and the CC810 is for the 6 cyl F100. Anybody have feedback on either of these and the amount of height I should expect to achieve? Or is there another spring out there that will give me one to two inches? I plan to add a set of Bilstein shocks all the way around.

CC812 (stock EB replacement)- 16.300" free height, 250 lb/in. rate
CC810 (F100-150 6cyl 4x4 replacement)- 17.000" free height, 300 lb/in. rate
CC814 (F100-150 HD 4x4 replacement)- 17.500" free height, 330 lb/in. rate
CC816 (F100-150 HD 4x4 over 6350 GVW)- 18.250" free height, 330 lb/in. rate

Those factory slots will look a lot better with the factory center caps installed. You will probably like the look with the caps installed.

You might try jeffsbroncograveyard.com. They carry deaver coils and do have 2.5" lift coils might have 2" as well. The Deaver coils and bilsteins work well together. Some New coils will settle a little after about 1000 miles as well so 2.5" might be 2 over time.

I've been working on recovering the front seats as the original passenger inserts were ripped in a few spots. New passenger side is done, drivers side is in process. This has been a real chore and looking at the seats side by side I now see why. The old foam didn't look horrible but know it had deteriorated at least some in 40 years. The new foam I used is TMI brand and looks to be pretty square compared to the original. The seat back was manageable but the seat bottom was a beating. Here are the results so far.
