dropping an order here in a few hours making major improvements on sniper, ordering new RCV axles through james duff, duff diff guards front and rear, 31 spline rear axles, and a new steering gearbox, trying to run down the sensitivity in snipers steering and i'm going to check if the box west texas offroad rebuilt is a 3 1/4 turn or a 4 turn box. when i called and asked they knew it was a "quick steer conversion" but that was it and also said they couldnt do a 4 turn box anymore. likely will order a new box and put the box in sniper into one of my other rigs which isnt as lifted.

sniper will be getting ARB's front and rear next week or the week after depending on how soon parts show up, regearing to 4.88 and shortly after will be starting the ZF-542 swap, i am still tempted to save for a couple months and go the whole 9 yards and put an atlas in and get that done now but that's still up in the air. not sure how i would support the atlast on the back of the zf-5

jeff breckenridge in the flying tangerine had suggested this mount which seems like it would work very well to support the 205 but i haven't looked into the atlas much, the atlast would get me a final drive right where it should be for low range rock crawling while still being able to hit the highway at 80 mph and head to work.

this may be the solution for the atlas support, similar concept to the 205

http://www.davesoffroadsupply.com/TMR-Customs-Atlas-Transfer-Case-Support_p_468.html

I had that exact same support behind my Atlas. I was on the phone with Atlas about a leak (trans fluid) and when I told them I had that support they strongly recommended against using it unless you built something very extreme (I'm not even close). They explained it to me as the engine/transmission is supported on a triangle--Motor mounts and mounts under the adapter. When the motor torques it can pivot on the OEM mounts (stay with rubber all the way around or poly all the way around). When the back of the transfer case is rigidly located the "system" doesn't pivot on the triangle-based supports anymore. I took my TMR support off. Still leaks a little but I need to dive into it to see what happened.

Here's how I did my TMR support on mockup. I was proud to get it in there...

Extremely busy lately with paramedic school, unfortunately had to skip super Cel this year due to it. However I did manage to get the Duff Rock lights installed and wired the Duff techie center console for the ARB’s and some usb outlets. Still saving up some money to start the 5 speed swap and also working on figuring out what transfer case to go with
