To the next phase:

Well.....The Miracle '73 has had the "new" floor pans removed and reinstalled ( in a manner ....er ....well...in a manner that would'nt cut your flip-flops up...if you wore flip-flops while in the Miracle!) The Bronco was picked up by the new owners and trailered to it's new abode!:):):)

A "Miracle" happened today in Heflin, Alabama! A Bronco was loaded on a trailer and left fordfan's stable! ;D

Bronco is home after a safe trip. fordfan did an outstanding job on the floor pans. I can't say enough about how good they look. :D

Special thanks to fordfan for selling it to us and doing the floor repairs!

Thanks guys!

Brian, no rush on the seat. Just whenever you can. Let me know when you are going to fordfan's again and I may try to ride down and pick it up.

I like the tow rig too. It's a blast to drive! ;D

We don't smile a lot in pics. ;D

Funny thing, I've yet to have the float stick. Started up today no problem. However, I'm wondering if the carb is causing the smoking issues. If you give it a fair bit of pedal, it sputters and doesn't want to run. ?:?

We are working on the rotisserie today. Miracle also had it's top removed and donated to the needy.

Another change of plans! The color is going to be BLACK! Dad has always liked the black EB's, so we are going to paint Miracle black, with black flares and soft top!

More pics possible tonight!

The rotisserie is done for now. We will add the core support mounts later.

I removed the emblems and lenses, and a few more things to start taking it apart. We might have the body off pretty soon! :D

Rotisserie looks great! Miracle is already loosing parts! It will not be long and the Golden team will have this Bronco in a million pieces. I know you are itching to work on it because it will easily make such a nice Bronco! I noticed with what few fasteners I removed and reinstalled, everything seems so clean ie bolt threads etc. Keep the pics coming!

I was surprised at how many of the original screws/bolts were still there. Usually they are different lengths and threads and whatnot. %)

Trust me, pics will be plentiful. I believe in practicing what you preach, so I have a lot of pic posting to do! ;D

Yesterday, I removed the tailgate, hinges, and a lot of the screws for the seal and carpet hold downs. The first pic is from yesterday.

Today, it got RIPPED APART!

We basically have it ready to remove the body from the frame. The doors, fenders and grille, dash and wiring, pedals, steering column, all were removed. The master cylinder and a few other things are unbolted from the body so we can lift the body off.

After the body is off, we plan to put it on the rotisserie and take it to be blasted. The body should be off soon! :D

You can't post too many pictures!!! The ole '73 is getting stripped down. Usually, when I take one apart, I always find a susprise or two. From the pictures, it looks very solid; clean; minimal rust....probably only one repaint...the midnight blue. I see the assembly number on the radiator support.....record it, photo it, and put it back in the same place. That's cool; the '72 Sport that we are doing the metal work on now is #2000!

What did the PO do with the dash board and the wiring? What did the back of the dash look like when you got it apart?

It was pretty hacked where the light/hazard/wipers switches were. You could see some of the grabber blue still, but the dark blue still came through in places. The wiring needs some work.

No big updates since my last post. This weekend there may be some.

BTW, Dennis, could you post a pic of those body support braces you made? We still need to build some before the body comes off.

They are made of 1.25" 11 ga. tubing and 1.5" x .1875 angle. One end of the tubing has an angle iron clip that bolts into the top hinge of the door hinge post and the other end has an angle clip that bolts into the first top hole on the quarter panel. The lower brace is angle iron and has an angle clip that bolts into the striker holes.

We have also lifted the bodies off using these braces as anchor points; Using the overhead lift in the shop and a sling, just make sure the sling or slings are not too short , causing the braces to try to pull inward. If you look close on the braces on the blue tub, you can see the orange markings where the slings will be situated for even lifting.

Maybe this helps.....just send check........so I can buy another Bronco!!!
