Barrett-Jackson has a 10% buyers fee and 8% sellers fee.
Entry fees vary by auction and time/day. Wednesday consignment fee this year for Scottsdale was $600. Friday prime time was $1500.
I got to talk to the owner of Lot 1000.1, the white uncut 347 build for quite a while. They gave him an idea of what it could sell for but he did not have a choice on what day and time-slot it would cross the block. They chose for him which was Friday around noon. A gentleman saw me giving it a good run down and asked me what I think it would sell for since they were going to bid on it. I told him $80-90K considering the other Broncos that week. It sold for $100K.
I think I counted 31 Broncos in the entire show(Velocity, ICON, Gateway, etc). I spent about 5 minutes at every single Bronco that crossed the block and the crowds of people that would gather near them was incredible.
I thought Lot 838.1 was very clean but not a $131K Bronco. Lot 1014.1, the SEMA build by Cal Auto Creations, was incredible in person. So much attention to detail and customization's galore. The Sunday Broncos had the most issues. Its sad they still sold for $35-50K. Over-spray on window molding, paint chips, rust painted over, etc.
Todd I think I saw you and your posse tearing apart one of the Sunday red broncos outside under a tent. Didn't realize it was you at the time but now that I see the pics from the panel discussion.
Who was the vendor inside the massive tent that was selling $75K and $95K builds? I forgot to grab their flyer or get a pic of them but the Broncos they brought were not all that nice. Every single one had paint chips.
