The plaques and Marty report are blank since it was a special order from the factory. It's not Viesta or Poppy. Any ideas? Most of the paint is original.

Poppy Red, Coral, and Calypso Coral are all the same, and that is not it.
It is possible that it is Tangerine. Painting it an "Econoline Van" color would
constitute for a blank paint code... It could also be some weird mix fleet color
too, no way to confirm either way as far as I know...

Are you sure House? I don't know, so not really questioning you. I have seen some that claimed to be poppy red and they were closer to the Rangoon Red on my 66 than the Calypso Corral on my 74.
My Calypso Corral 74 is very Orange!
Like I said, I don't know.

If that's the original color,I'd say medium copper. I bought a new F150 4x4 in 1977 in about the same orange color and medium copper is what Ford called it. I called it burnt orange.

Ya I hear you. I have compared original paint vehicles, Ford paint codes,
PPG paint codes, and many paint mix formulas. This is what I have found:
All of these names can be cross referenced from Ford code M1730:
Calypso Coral
Medium Coral
Coral
Competition Orange
Competition Red
Mexicali Red
Orange
Poppy Red
Thanks Vermilion
Red

Crab, my 77 looked like that. Vista was too orange and mine was a red-orange. No paint code I have found from 77 is the same. I assumed it was tangerine, an Econoline color and perhaps ordered that way. If you find more info post it here and I would love to read about it since that color was special to me being my first Bronco and unique.

Looks like caylpso coral or competition orange to me both were early ford colors so could be one of them.

I do not believe it is Coral, yours is less Red and more Orange,
that's why I was thinking Tangerine or possibly even Vista...

I know that the owner of my local Ford dealer in Tillamook Oregon owns an early bronco. I’ll try to get in contact with him and see what we can come up with.....

Crab I've wondered what your orange would look like waxed and shiny, House's pics above makes me wonder if it would change the appearance any?

I own a 76 Special Decor as pictured in your post. On the original window sheet the color is listed as Cyan Red.

I thought the same thing it is amazing how different something can look with some oxidation versus something that has been shined up. Also I have seen repaints that claimed to be a color and they don't look any thing like the original color I guess different companies can be off a little .For instants Wimbledon white I have seen so many different variations some even look yellow.
