Hey Randy,

What an awesome write-up! You really did a nice job bringing out the highlights.

Being part of your team was a great experience. You're a great team owner to run the race with... not many racers would give someone with no experience navigating the opportunity to learn in a race like Baja. You were always thinking of what was best for those of us on the team. That's awesome!

I have so many pictures to choose from, I'm not sure where to start. I'll begin posting some this weekend.

Thanks to Randy, Mark, Randy (Skid) and Gary for having me along on this awesome adventure.

Take Care,

Jeff

So Cal
We originally thought it was the MSD gear, but we found a chip in one of the camshaft gears.
Brand new Dougan motor, didn't want to take any chances replacing camshaft and causing a bigger problem $$$. Motor has already been broke down and found nothing else. Just one of those things.

Hey Guys,

I don't want to post too much; but, I hate to leave out anything special that took place during the race.

The race between Randy and the Lovells began Ensenada... and it was a close race all the way to Cabo. It was a great competition!

Hey,

And one of the greatest parts of the race was the opportunity that Randy gave all of us on the team to be involved!

Co-driving was an awesome experience. Randy was a great teacher, particularly to a newbie like me.

The pics in this post are from San Felipe, Bay of Los Angeles and La Paz.

Hey Again,

La Paz was more of an experience than I thought it would be.

The La Paz Bronco Club thinks the world of Randy. It was awesome to see all of their Broncos lined up at the finish line.

..... and Randy even bought us an awesome dinner! What could be better.

One More Time,

The last day of the race was even more awesome.

"Skid" told me part way down the peninsula that the further south we went, the more interesting and beautiful the country would become.

From a breakfast break just north of San Antonio, to stopping to hand out decals and Hoosier Tire neck bands at a school on the way to Cabo, to the finish in Cabo, it was an awesome day. (Except maybe for Mark being routed through some damn tight city streets on the way to the finish line.:eek::eek::eek: )

Jeff, I still break out in a cold sweat thinking about pulling the trailer through those narrow streets. Only damage was a sidewalk tile on a particularly tight turn. That was the only part of the trip that sucked. However, it wasn't all that bad, I got the thing parked finally and on with the party!!

Good times, great memories. We had a great team effort, and without any individual part it wouldn't have been possible.

I'll be at the 500, so I hope to see the Unicorn back in the battle.

Maybe next year, Mark (garberz). Mark (markw) has already started talking logistics! :) we'll see as the year progresses. In the mean time, I've got a lot of cleaning and organizing to do this weekend!

Thanks for posting the pics Jeff!
