Good news track bar mount was actually fine. 3 or 4 shots with a sharp chisel and the crappy brazed washers came off revealing very good mount holes. One less thing to do until I decide to lift or not.

Been working weekends at my real job but have been putting in some time on this. Got frame wire brushed and primed with KBS. Also did primer on front clip and underside after a few days of scrubbing. Also did KBS on backside of rear quarters behind seam.

Good news Vin number still readable. Just going to clear over that.

With seam sealer applied and 2nd coat of primer. I tried to match the horrible factory sealer application best I could!! SEM self leveling flowed out similar to factory stuff.

Finally had some good weather friday night and got some color on it. Due to recent weather delaying paint and 5 week delay from vendor on rotating assembly plus bad connectinf rod out of box my truck is not making it to Carlisle as planned. :(

Short block has been assembled. Add hiccup with brand new connecting rod being bad from Vendor. Getting valvetrain together after work.

Questions is would you paint or clear coat a brand new timing cover?

Same with aftermarket intake. I would like to paint but how well does engine paint adhere to aluminum?

On my Explorer swap I used aluminum look engine paint on the brackets, timing cover, upper and lower intakes. They were painted over 2 years ago, but only driving since November, and still look good.

Gauge cluster came back from Kevin and I did my 4100 rebuild this week. Hopefully 48 primary and 55 secondary jets work for a mild 347.

So in prep for my M5R2 install I noticed bolt holes are not big enough for 7/16" hardware. Anyone else have to drill the M5R2 bellhousing for the 7/16 hardware?

Yes you do. Check the dowel pins too.
Thanks sir, pics helped a bunch on the master cylinder. Ended with a 91 f150 master. If you zoom in you can see the brace I made for firewall.

Nice work, Joe. Definitely prettier than mine!

On the subject of the clutch MC, member JSMALL had an issue using that series of MC, namely a heavy pedal and little clutch control. He ended up going with a later model out of a 95 F250. Earlier ones have an .880 bore while the later ones are .708. Mine is the later one and I like the feel and control. I never experienced the earlier one and can't speak as to how it feels.

Thanks for the compliment and the heads up! I tried getting the later one and it had bottom hose vs the hose out the front like yours had. To find one with hose out front I had to go earlier. I'll check part numbers later in the week and confirm bore size.

I'm also curious if J small had heavy duty pressure plate. The slave cylinder part number is consistent between 150/250 and across many years.
