Excited to start this new build thread for my recently acquired and delivered today sequoia brown wagon. I sold my 1977 Ranger one month ago and immediately started looking for a replacement. Lucky for me a forum member, tcb-1 (Doug), was willing to part with his very original, low mileage, rust free, uncut truck. Can’t thank him enough for making for a smooth transaction and being very patient with me while I arranged for transport. He deserves the credit for finding this truck and bringing it back to life, as well as the history included below.

Bronco is pretty basic with 302, 3 speed manual, 4.11 rear and parchment rosette bucket front seats and rear seat. ‘Features’ include power steering, skid plates, mud & snow tread tires, spare tire carrier, AM radio, headliner, auxiliary fuel tank, hand throttle and head bolt heater.

Truck was originally sold at Mills Ford in Fairfield, Montana in December 1972 to a lady (co-owner of a ranch) in Simms, MT who bought it for her mother (29K miles from 1972 to 1991). In 1991 a man from Great Falls, MT bought it at an auction on the ranch and he owned it until July 2013 when Doug purchased it (10K miles from 1991 to 2013). Doug got it with 39,477 miles and now I have it with 39,773 miles. There are a stack of receipts with the truck that I will go through and scan and post in the near future.

Plan to keep this truck almost completely original.

Great to see you got another one. Let me know when you're gonna do a photo shoot of it. If I can I'll drive up. I'd love to take a look at that piece of history in person.
