Trying to compare 2 original colors....Does anyone have a Bronco with either Medium Green Glow Poly or Limestone Green Poly that they can post pics of? For years I always thought they were the same exact color and code and that Ford just changed the color name for different years. Upon further examination...Med Green Glow is a 75-76 color with code "W" or 2784. Limestone Green Poly is actually a 73-74 color with code "U" or 2412. They look really close on color charts but I'd like to see some Broncos with these two colors to compare. Post your Bronco and color/code

Thanks,

Andy

My answer is no better than the others.. I sold DuPont for years. I started in 1967.
Those chips are not DuPont numbers. But I'll say that they are 2 different colors.. But When you mix the paint you may only put in 4 grams of black in one of the colors & Only 3.25 grams in the other color. You may not be able to see the difference ..
..................................
......... Example of this ... Chevy white ..1964 Pickups I think.. original color was 4195A... BUT ABOUT 1966 THEY changed the number to 4024A... THERE AFTER YOU COULD ONLY BUY 4024 & All the new mixing cards were 4024.. But being an old collector .. Or car guy.. When I found out that they had dropped the 4195 color.. I WENT BACK INTO OUR archives .. & GOT THIS Mixing formula card & saved it until my store closed in 1995. Back in time I'd tell any one who was really doing a proper restoration... .. Seems Ford had a color with this same issue .. But tonight I can't remember .. But I'm thinking it was the BOXWOOD GREEN ....
.....................
.... ABOUT THE TIME my store closed Dupont told me I had the best set of books in Texas.. I didn't realize but they had sent me Special collector for years. My Books started in 1937 but I had a few chip back into 24 .
... When the prick bought me out ... Or TOOK OVER .. THEY TRASHED MY PAINT BOOKS . Said they were no longer Relevant..
I WAS ALMOST IN TEARS.. GOD I HATED THOSE PEOPLE!!

Need some help regarding the correct paint color- my 74 has a "u" code. I'm a bit confused in that i believe it should be a #2414 color code and called "Limestone Green Poly." I saw on a couple of other charts on this site that also call it "Medium Lime Metallic" and "Limestone Green Metallic"
Is it all the same? Thanks for the help in advance, painting it next week!
