Rained a ton this day. Most of the area where the vehicles were was under water the next morning. Looking back on it I am glad we had my FIL's toy hauler to sleep in.

Love to camp, but those gully-washer days sure make you appreciate the sunny ones.....

Hey, how well does that cover keep the rain out, and how long have you had it? Was looking at getting one as I need another cover and was thinking it would be good to have over the standard cover for multi-day events when the Bronco is sleeping outside.

It rained a lot the first full day of that trip. We had a drain on the edge of our site and all the water from the other sites flowed to this drain. It backed-up and we had a lot of standing water.

That cover rocks. Not having a top on my rig I put a 4' x 4' floatie (thick foam we use in the water) under it so the water doesn't pool in the roll cage cavities. It's a WH cover and I don't believe it's billed as waterproof but mine is just about 100% waterproof. I've had it for about three years and seem to use it on just about every trip. It comes with a bag and I just strap it in the passenger seat for the trip there and back. When I get home with a wet cover I just put it back on the truck inside-out (loosely) with the back end open and I run a fan in the back area for a few days if it's really wet. Not sure this is the best method but that's what I do.

No camping for me growing up. That would have been a luxury! %)

Buying my Bronco at 17 finally got me out camping with friends. Living large with a TENT! ;D

First pic is on the Clackamas River near Portland in 1980. My first Winter Steelhead.

Second pic is one of many tent camping Bronco trips at Timothy Lake on Mt. Hood 50 miles from Portland. Crawfish dinners from the lake.

Now, fresh in retirement, Mary and I are thinking of RV camping/traveling of some kind. I like the thought of that over a tent.
Schlitz Malt Liquor Bull sighting.

Some of you my not think this is camping, but we and a couple hundred others at NWBR, in Florence, Or. had a great time no matter what label you want to put on it!
