How many of you guys are running 2 batteries?

I run 2 batteries because back in 1980, I got hung up in the Floyd Knobs of Indiana, winch killed the battery and truck would not crank!!! Cost $130 to get an off road wrecker to get me out!!! Alcohol was involved, however I have had 2 batteries with isloator since (and more alcohol) !!!;D;D;D


Well, you had the alcohol, that makes it difficult for anyone to argue that you were not prepared......

Well, I'm one of the 2%..


I used to run dual batteries with my 8274 but of course back in the early '70's all you had were 34+ amp alternators... almost every time winching logs I'd have to wait for the batteries enough to charge so when I hit the "in" button the engine wouldn't die...serious, they'd be that dead.

Went PTO and never looked back for almost 20 years...

Now I'm single with a 4G...still could use the extra amperage but not worth the weight...

For a dead battery bring one of those little jumper packs with you for the 1x/year you ran your stereo all night keeping everybody up! : )
