fuel check valve

Does anyone use a fuel check valve? I have a Holley Projection TBI setup, if I let the bronco sit for a few days it seems like the fuel drains into the tank. The bronco will start but die after a second or two. Then after I crank it a second time it'll start and continue running without any issues.

So my question is, if I use a "good" fuel check valve, will this correct my problem? And where should I install the valve? Before or after the in-line pump? The pump runs at about 15 psi, 3/8" line.

Thanks for the help
