Thinking Moab in mid/late April. Mrs Yeller is bugging me to go:cry: I just need to make that accommodation, as sad as it will make me;D

I'd go for the Safari but have family obligations that prevent it that week. Not as far west as you fella's but I'd sure like to take the time, life is just in the way at the moment.

I'm shooting for the Rubicon in June and NWBR in August. One of these years I'll get to Moab.

Engine and trans are out of the Explorer and I started on the firewall harness. I’ll strip the 5.0 and start the rebuild soon.

That will be a nice upgrade!

BTW to our previous banterings.... October?

I would love to make October work. I'll have to see what I can get done on the Bronco in the next few months and look at my vacation balance. I have 4 weeks a year and I believe it's all booked between the Rubicon, NWBR, and a family vacation. I'll keep you updated.

I'd run out of I could get out of going to TX. Gotta deliver a very special bronco back to its owner at the LEBC round up.

Sounds like a good time. I won’t be able to get the Explorer EFI installed before the trip so I’ll do what I can with my crappy Edelbrock.

I'm taking mine to the machine shop next week. Did you have any machining done or did it not need it? My cylinder walls look just like yours.
Just curious, mine has 175,000 on it.

And you have the good oil pan! What colors are you going with on the motor?

I purchased Eastwood high temp ceramic paint in cast iron and gloss black. I'll probably go cast iron on the block and heads and the tins and accessories in gloss black. Still not sure what I'm doing with the upper and lower intakes.

I wanted new pistons and the machine shop wanted to bore out to the next size for warranty purposes so it worked out.

Question on your fuel tank filler location. Are you still using stock filler neck after moving the hole back, or something else? I am preparing for fender flares and would like to move the rear back like you did so there is no interference or overlap. Liked your Bronco as a lubr and still do with the big cut. Thanks.

I modified a stock filler neck. I cut it into a few pieces and welded it back together. I liked it as a lubr too, but I enjoy it more now that it is cut.

Pic reminds me, we need to talk about next spring...

I'm planning to attend the Safari in May

The second pic sure would be a good one for the calendar.

I submitted a Moab pic for the calendar ;D I like this one because it has lots of Broncos in it.
