Well I splurged and got myself custom Circle Racing wheels. I will be using them with my dog dish caps. I sold my custom bumpers to pay for them. But wow that’s a lot of cheddar$

17x8-4.5

Center bore is 4.25”

So my custom wheels go to welding tomorrow (circle racing) Weird thing I didn’t think of, the hubcap will stock out 1/3-1/2” from the rim. Because of my 4.5” back spacing. Thoughts?

I assume you are going to have a hole on the front caps to turn Manual Locking hubs. With that Backspacing you may have to reach inside Hubcap to get to hubs.

I believe they will come out about even with the caps with holes. But I will check.

I had the Wheel Vintiques 15x7 with a 4" backspacing and I had to reach inside of the Bronco hub Cap. Although this wheel was great with the 66 Hub Cap which is flatter.

Depends on how flat the Hub Cap is???

Duffy, Do you need to keep your smog stuff on to be legal to drive your 77 in Idaho?

No Idaho has zero smog rules. It’s like the Wild West here.

Doesn't one county have smog checks in the Treasure Valley area around Boise? My Buddy lives in Caldwell and keeps suggesting I should retire there, but he has smogs to do... nothing like here though...

No reason to be in the treasure valley unless you farm malt or potatoes:) But I have no idea if they have smog, but that would surprise me.

I live in northern Idaho. Near Canada, in a paradise with an amazing lake, amazing ski hill and 4 great seasons. Hot summers and cold winters.

Yes, I have Goggled Sandpoint, ID. ;D

As soon as you say "cold Winters" my Wife says No.

Project make the stock carrier cool again is under way. The goal is near silent and not too much pressure on the body panel.

Brass bushings, 90s bronco carrier arm with studs. Trying to decide on the stock latch or not.

Finally made progress on my custom circle racing hub cap wheels.

The soft aluminum and press fit hub caps weren’t working together. I got this idea from icon. Should all be hidden with the hub cap on. I’m pretty darn happy with it, but this isn’t something I should be fixing. Icon had the same issue and why they switched as well.

I’m using hub cap spring clips as my cap retainers.

His name is Jaimie Cordero. jac_specialties@yahoo.com

http://www.ebay.com/itm/3-Power-Ste...m3d28d410e4:m:mey-_i42w2NLg4OO_HlGJpQ&vxp=mtr

Examples of his work are in the links. Email him and say its for an explorer swap. He knows all about it and he is very reasonable. He can do it with AN fittings or hosebarbs and can add fittings for hydroboost if you would like.

Just wanted to add to the thread that the links are no longer active.

Is there another way to get a hold of the builder?
