found the pic. the downside is that you lose the level indication but you can get one of the universal level indicators.

the aftermarket unit would bolt into the top of the tank. you cut a hole in the top. it will have a split re-enfocing ring to go inside the tank. drop the sender in and bolt the the top plate of the sender to the ring.

6 of one, and a half dozen of another. Either way, you're cutting a hole, and inserting a unit (no pun) I'd rather keep the stock level sender and gauge. It's too bad you can't get the mustang level sender to work with it....
