Good evening,

Made a few posts already but figured I'd start over and make an official post. I am brand new here. Just picked up a '73 with a 302, Dana 44, Automatic and power steering.

Itching to get started! I was going to take the body off and start a full blown restoration however it runs (not well, but runs) so i figure I am going to get it mechanically sound and street worthy and enjoy it for a bit while I work on the body stuff over time.

Just wanted to take a moment to say hello and thank everyone in advance for any/all advice/help.

Thanks, Jeremy

Nice, and welcome to the forum. It's great that it runs- reminds me of when I picked mine up- it was badly rusted, held together with bondo and drywall spackling and leaking (more like pouring out) oil everywhere- transmission, transfer case, front and rear ends. But it was drivable and got me home!

Welcome.
You have a solid plan, build the desire before it is apart for a period of time, that will build the motivation to finish!

that's very nice! don't suppose you have any leftover 66 parts? restoring mine now, biggest thing I need is a correct back seat

Sorry, no back seat. And if I improperly moved in on a message board, my apologies. I'm uninformed regarding posting protocol.

welcome to the site! you have a good plan! You will find out a lot just by driving it and will probably reprioritize a few times on what comes next...

Drive it and enjoy it, once you tear into it your looking at 1-3 or maybe never at driving it again if you get frustrated with the resto! Wise choice, mechanically sound first!
