I believe he just needs to put it up for sale now and try and get want he can. But by the description of it, could be a cold day in hell before someone gives him 10 grand for a hacked job, undone, and unsafe rig he has.

I was going to offer him $2500, but only if I can get the paperwork to write it off on my taxes.

I'm not judging, but there are plenty of scammers out there, and things seem real fishy on this one. No one on here is looking for a tax write-off that's for sure.

I would think if it's all legit, he'd understand everyone's concern and be able to simply dispel the fears with some basic information.

there are groups of people under many different forums on the web who are awesome about posting their gratitude for the fallen, regardless of branch. As an active Marine who has lost many friends over the last few years to both the war in Afghanistan and Iraq you would be amazed at how soon the names of the fallen and the well wishes for the family left behind start to pop up within minutes of the name being released by the DOD. For instance Sgt Mike C. Roy KIA 8 July 09 in Afghanistan is all over the net, and has been since 2 minutes after it was released by the DOD. I know as I was scouring the net for 24 hours after I initially recieved the news from his wife before it was released. I know I didnt want to believe it after spending 19 months in Iraq with him and 12 months of that as his roommate. Just saying..... there is a difference between clandestin and Black ops, as the whole world knows we are there the release of a name isnt a huge breach of security.

Mark,

At this point, it may be better for you to bag the whole project and sell it. Good luck. Unless you come up with some proof, your gonna be hard pressed to convince these guys of the truth.
