I haven't done a bumper but I did do a utility trailer that I built. After primer I just did a quick scuff with scotch brite then wiped with paint thinner. I used either Rustoleum or the Ace brand equivalent in a a spray gun that I got from HF. I thinned the paint with acetone. A few years later...
A little closer to take measurements and do the frame work. Engine is disconnected and ready to pull in the next couple of days. HF had the chassis dollies on sale so I splurged a little. Man they make it nice to be able to move everything around. Now to clean up the shop a bit.
My wife's 2.7 4 door has a squeaky rear window. I spray the rubber seal down liberally with Dupont silicone with teflon occasionally to mitigate it. Other than that, it's a nice vehicle.
I'd love to make it but not likely. I could kill two birds if I did, my son's girlfriend is graduating from Harding that weekend...plus some fishing of course.
I don't know what to think. I haven't made it for the last couple of years. Two years ago my mom was ill so I didn't go, and last year I waited too long and couldn't get a room.
This year I jumped early and got a room. Now I see the events are split. My preference is the EBs but I want to go...
I love Fluid Film. I get the kit to undercoat vehicles and buy the spray cans by the case. It works great for lawnmower decks and I spritz a little on a toothbrush to put on my guns.
Fluid Film does migrate, so if you miss a spot it will get there.
Even though it's hills and mountains, it's pretty much only been on two lane highways. My son was driving the two hours we were on interstate but I would imagine it would drop a bit. We also have very little city driving so that helps.
