N613181A Starter from O’Reilly. Is what I used. I like the lifetime warranty. No questions asked. Only time it went bad was a muddy crossing. But that is a great price from Amazon. Not sure how you get a warranty one.

I had the same issue. It was a bad turn signal switch.

The Teralow were 3:15 to one. And broke the tooth on the intermediate gear. Rock eater gears are 3.047 to one. Thicker gears and they don’t break. But they are $1800. Trying to save some money. But I may go that way.

Looking for a replacement intermediate gear. Or a set that someone has laying around. Or if anyone knows someone that may have one. thanks.

I would say that sounds pretty normal. The explorer motors are not a stroker hot rod motor. Have you checked gas mileage? Mine gets up and goes. Not like a hot rod motor. But what does an explorer motor have 200hp? I have an np 435 and 3:50 gears. Cruises at freeway speeds great.

I have one in my bronco. I like how it folds up for more room.

Get yours running and stopping. Then let her drive it for a while. If she loves it, then spend the money on it. Or buy an already built one. There are many guys that build them and sell them and are ready to go. Look at bring a trailer. I know jgo has one coming up soon.
