Well that complicates things a bit. So any suggestions on what I should replace it with? What are the chances I can find one to match bolt pattern and use the existing bracket and pulley?

Hey guys, I'm replacing the power steering system in my 72. It has a 74 351w with an odd setup. Pump is located on the passenger side running lines across to a manual gear mated to a Schrillo assist unit (on the shaft side). I'm going to replace with a stock PS gear, remove the assist unit...

I don't have any drivability complaints with the 351w and c4 with this gearing. Seems to have plenty of low end torque. Maybe I'm missing something here...

So... I have 3.5 gearing and 35" tires. I'm off the chart... is my case for accurate speedo reading hopeless??

I have one of these units on my '70. I don't think it's working correctly. Not exactly "assisting" with steering. I will probably be swapping the setup out for a power steering box soon.

I'm interested in the steering box if it's tight. I'll send a PM
