    New bronco owner questions

Another thought…As long as it runs well just drive it like it is for a while. You may find that the current setup suits your needs. If you do decide to proceed with changes, it’ll be based on experience with your rig, not what you thought you wanted/needed. Im running a stock three on the...

Upgrading my 302v8 - need engine advice

For cruising with the kids why not just lightly warm up the stock motor or do an explorer swap? Make sure you have your gears squared away and you’ll be set. Having a fresh motor with a few thousand miles on it and a tidy engine compartment will add plenty to the value. Now, if you want more...

Such a huge, diverse group here still...what else do you have that runs?

Why do you have to be so discriminatory with the term “runs.” Not very inclusive of you. ;)

    Scottsdale Barrett Jackson 2024

Not my truck, not my money, not my business. But…..some of those made me throw up in my mouth a little.

Tips for Carbs in Cold Elevation - Don’t want EFI

If you find one please start a thread on it…..I’ll do the same. If nothing else it’ll be fun to tinker with.

Tips for Carbs in Cold Elevation - Don’t want EFI

I feel the opposite. It’s so big and roomy. Designed to be field serviceable by GI’s…..I just deleted about two paragraphs of off topic drivel about pressure carbs. Sorry OP! My personal experience with them is very positive and would lead me to want to try one on the Bronco. I have a new...

Tips for Carbs in Cold Elevation - Don’t want EFI

Yup, we have ‘em on our Twin Bonanza (Bendix PS-5BD) and they work awesome. I make a few small adjustments once a year and they hold their “tune” very well in between. Wouldn’t mind having something similar for the Bronco. It’s all mechanical so I wouldn’t have to concern myself with the...

To lift or not to lift

I think the front looks perfect. It’s probably just the taller tires but it does look just a tad low in the back. Maybe a fresh set of leafs in the back?

Tips for Carbs in Cold Elevation - Don’t want EFI

I’m curious about this automatic altitude adjustment as well. The way I read it is that it was removed and replaced with a manual adjustment. One of our other family transports has auto altitude compensated carbs but I wasn’t aware they were available for our trucks.

    LA 1996 Bronco XL Manual

Showed my son this truck when I saw it on BT. He didn’t bite…. Been working up a plan to sell SWMBO on it. Maybe my daily driver needs to have an unfortunate accident.

    Roll up tool bag options.

I’ve looked off and on for years for something like that. I finally came to the conclusion that the best bet was to get together all the tools I would want to carry and have a custom one made. I stopped daily driving my Bronco years ago so I never followed through but I still geek out on it...

    buying advice question

If you think highly of his Bronco and it’s within your budget I’d be buying a plane ticket. I bought mine in SW Kansas and drove it home to Memphis…..In a snow storm. Worth it every day and twice in Sunday.

    Frames value

File for a lost title. I assume a small fee and a little bit of time for a potentially big return on investment.

I would recommend against Grundy Insurance

I switched to Hagerty this year. I don’t remember the exact numbers at the moment but I had a similar value and premium as 73azbronco. I asked specifically about the RV road trip I mentioned last year, including flat towing and parking outside. They said I’m good to go. I don’t actually plan...

Pump to Carb Fuel Line Setup

Regarding the in line filter, I have two. One screws into the carb, the other is a cheap plastic type that’s mounted before the fuel pump. When I daily drove it for a coupe years I ran fuel with ethanol. It must have been stripping 40 years of funk out of the tank because every time I changed...

Forums for all Generations of Bronco

I’m going to say no as well. I have some other Ford projects waiting on time and space. Any questions I want y’all’s thoughts on I’ll just post in the Off Topic sub forum when the time comes. I don’t care for messing with the magic that is CB.com.

Need a Painter for my 73 Bronco in West Tenn, North Miss, or East Ark.

Yup…12-15k sounds like a fair price considering the work required. I would have expected slightly more. I’m in Memphis as well so if you find a shop that does a good job for 5k please let me know. I’ve got an F350 repaint coming up. Maybe consider turning your garage into a paint booth and...

First real issue with the New Bronco

If anybody finds a Ford service department worth a sh** let me know. Fuel gauge in my wife’s car quit working. I’ve spent $2k and they’ve tried to fix it twice. While expressing my frustration I commented to the service rep that I don’t like the idea of my wife running out of gas in Memphis...

AC Compressor on passenger side ?

When I bought my Bronco it had a non functioning knee knocker with a driver side York compressor and mount. When I installed the VA Gen IV I kept it over there but really wish I had tucked it in on the passenger side. It would have made hose routing so much cleaner. When you get it sorted...
