Hats off to West Texas Offroad!

I had the same experience with them. I was driving through their area so I figured I would just drop my box off to get rebuilt to save on the shipping there. i showed up at 3:30 un-anounced to drop off my box, I was asked if I was in a big hurry as they would get right on it If I could wait. Two...

    9" ring and pinion sets

Wanted to post a follow up. I ended up buying a nodular 3rd member, new gears, set up kit, and Daytona pinion support from Quick Performance they were great to deal with. As mentioned earlier I bought a Detroit locker off of eBay that was a NASCAR takeout, it runs flawlessly! The best part was...

    Check my 9" Gear Pattern

That's why I am replacing mine! Every bolt backed out and finally tore up the internals and slit the case.

    Check my 9" Gear Pattern

Please tell me if I am good with this pattern or not. I think I am good on the drive side but the coast side is a bit off. I am only using one .001 shim on the pinion so I could go up a size if I need to. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

    9" ring and pinion sets

That makes me feel a better. I will have mine on the road in the next few days so will report back. I had hell getting the preload set on my pinion using the solid sleeve. I took my time and hope its all good.

    9" ring and pinion sets

Haha! The sad part is I ordered a BC Bronco soft top on Friday and had to cancel it the following Monday since the rear end decided to blow up! One day I will have one but its useless when the Bronco dosent run.

    9" ring and pinion sets

Thanks for all the response guys. I ended up ordering everything I needed from Quick Performance, I am pretty much building a new third member from scratch. Over the weekend my case split n half, after braking it all down I found that all of my bolts on the ring gear were loose and tore up the...

    9" ring and pinion sets

Need to buy new gears for my 9", what's the best value set? Don't want to break the bank but only want to do this one time. Ratio is 4:11 if that makes a difference.

    Best MC . . .

I am running your exact set up with a master cylinder off of a S10 pick up. I like it because its one reservoir and closes tightly. Here is a link to...

ZF5 and BC master cylinder pushrod

The BC push rod works fine that's what I have installed in mine. I am using the same slave cylinder as the one shown above. You are correct in that it will not clip into the slave cylinder, it just sits in the grove of it. I just adjusted the rod until it was almost snug with just a bit of play...

    Whats a U14 worth

Well to make you feel better: I have a friend who just bought a U14 1971 model last week and payed 4,000 for it. He has been looking for a long time and everything we have looked at was no where near the condition that his new Bronco is in. His bronco is a good solid bronco with rust on the...
