Backlash is set at .006-.007 depending on where the measurement is taken off of the ring gear.

That's why I am replacing mine! Every bolt backed out and finally tore up the internals and slit the case.

Please tell me if I am good with this pattern or not. I think I am good on the drive side but the coast side is a bit off. I am only using one .001 shim on the pinion so I could go up a size if I need to. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks!

That makes me feel a better. I will have mine on the road in the next few days so will report back. I had hell getting the preload set on my pinion using the solid sleeve. I took my time and hope its all good.

Haha! The sad part is I ordered a BC Bronco soft top on Friday and had to cancel it the following Monday since the rear end decided to blow up! One day I will have one but its useless when the Bronco dosent run.
