    69ers without vented aux tanks

My 69 does the same, I find that if I pull up to the pump with the front of the Bronco on the down side of the slope it will fill some what easier, but still slow.

Rag Joint in Place of the Bell Joint on manual steering (will it work)

The U-joint is the way to go, but experience has proven to me that if you are going to rock crawl it or any thing else that will twist your frame and body connection, you should also incorporate a slip joint into your steering shaft. Otherwise damage can result along with a total loss of steering.

    Drag link bolt???

X2 on keeping the load off the threads. One of us is confused, the drag link of which you speak, I believe to be the track bar. If that is the case, I did the grade 8 fine thread replacement and locked it down with a double jam nut.

    Cargo rack mounts?

I have a wilderness rack and they sell the clamps as a part separately. LINK: http://www.wildernessracks.com/index.php/catalogsearch/result/?form_key=KeTIKJhlpK9xzNsT&q=drip+rail+clamps

    Wiper motor test

I'm thinking, red-12v, in the plug-ground, black one speed and blue is the other speed. Don't know which is which, on the speeds but your test should expose that info. I reserve the right to be totally wrong but that is how I remember it.

Which bulbs for the H4 upgrade?

I have run the Hella housings with 55W/100W H-4 bulbs for around 25 years. Same housings same bulbs. However After two dimmer switches in two years, I rewired the high beams through relays and haven't touched them since. Just so you know, 55W/65W is DOT legal. At least it was when I...

    Winch rebuild

I would check with Warn about the grease thing. Every winch I have taken apart had the same look. Superwinch told me that it is normal for the type of grease used in the gear case of their winches. The solid look I mean, not the lack of it.

    optima batteries

Either Broncobowser or my self is wrong, but I have bought Optima's for years understsnding that the yellow top is the duel use battery. The Blue top being the deep cycle only. As I have three yellow tops in use at the moment with their duty's requiring them to be a combination deep...

How to tell if the 68 is a 6cyl or V8

1969 was the first year for the 302, a 68 would have been a 289 if it came with a V-8.

Thinking about a fun street transmission

My 96 FSB has the M5ODR2 in it and I think it is a great street trans. I like the ratio splits and the smooth shifts. I would not recommend it as an offroad trans as the low gear is not a granny gear.

    Black Friday bronco stall out

My first suspicion would be a starter solinoid, or the the wire from it to the coil.

    WH coil springs ID?

When I installed my 3 1/2" WH Rock crawler springs, they came out about the same, but since it leveled my Bronco out, I didn't complain.

    help buying a welder

If the Lincoln does not come with the gas capable kit, it will cost you an extra $150.00 for the kit, plus what ever local rates are for the bottle and gas. The gas capable kit includes the regulator and electric solinoid to activate the gas. The Hobart is already gas capable, accounting for...

Goodyear Wrangler Authority A/T at WalMart

I have liked the MTR's that I have run, consider them right at the top of the performance ladder compared to the other types I have tried. However, I have absolutely no use for the Goodyear Wrangler AT's that have been the OEM tire for a lot of SUV's over the last couple of decades. The last...

    Easy winch mount?

Be aware that the extension on that appartus could reduce your hitch rating by as much as 50%. If your reciever is rated at 10,000 lbs. you might reduce that to 5,000 lbs. If you are loading a 4,500 lb Bronco onto a 2,000 lb trailer, you would be exceeding the rating on your reciever. I...

    The New ProtoFab Bumpers....

Like the bumper, but the grill guard looks like it was made for a Kenworth. The grill guard far over powers the classic design of the EB. I would not buy the bumper because of the gaurd.
