New 408W on the dyno yesterday

I slapped on a new carb, bought a carb tuning kit, new rotor and wires and had my old rig dyno-tuned on a chassis dyno. This was many years ago and I think I paid $180. They found a bad balancer in the process. Truck ran like fuel injection after that, with the exception of hard starting due...

    Pioneer MVH-X360BT radio install

It's usually a round antenna plug. You may need to get one at Radio Shack and wire it to the existing factory antenna and then plug it into new radio.

    4 wheel disc brake

They are nice if you wheel through a lot of mud as they still usually work after a major dip and slog, but if you want/like an emergency or parking brake, then you'll get very good at adjusting the Caddy calipers (if you go that route) so that it works. I think properly adjusted drum brakes...

Breaks are bled but still no stopping power

You don't say whether they are power-vacuum, power-hydro, or full manual brakes. Could make a difference. Once shoes, pads, wheel cylinders, calipers, rear shoe adjust is all OK, there is an acorn nut type of adjustment between the master and a vacuum assist system that might need adjustment...

dual or single exhaust -- oppinions, pro's con's?

BINGO! Flowmaster makes a 50 series with two 2 1/2" in, one 3" out, works like a crossover inside = best of all worlds....simple, lighter than duels, more room underneath for other things or to keep heat away from fuel line, easier for maintenance, sounds good, purrs like kitten on highway...

Survived the Tornado! The rig wasn't so lucky!

Thoughts and prayers out to you and yours. So good the family is safe. I did some volunteer work cleaning up after Hurricane Andrew down here (the homes were not quite as bad as what you have as they are mostly made of concrete block down here, but the insides were gutted and the neighborhoods...

Best place to get Pitbull Rocker radials?

If you can get some insider information, see if you can find out if 4WP in Orlando is planning any buy 3 get one free deals any time soon. I wouldn't hold my breath though as most of the time those specials are just on the Pro-comp tires. DANG those are pricey for that size.... On another...

Help Please, got my 3.5" coils are these right ??????????????????????????

Just confirm with WH with the unloaded measurement and part number and you'll be fine. You may have a slight prerunner look before full settlement and you may choose to adjust your rear stance to your taste. The biggest issue is front DS bind if you run correct/positive front castor with a...

    Header question.......

They should fit the heads, but with the manual tranny you could have issue with linkage. If they are shorties you stand the best chance at clearance. Long tubes may require modifications. If they are a good price and don't fit you could always resell and not lose.

    Water proofing hubs

I've used this and it is a good bearing grease, but you still need to repack if you go mud whumpin' all day in deep water. At least it is a light colored grease so you can easily spot the contamination. I've never seen it sold in a tube for the grease gun, but it might.

    Water proofing hubs

Bottom line....if you are driving through deep water for extended periods get used to doing regular maintenance on all moving assemblies below the water line. I've tried all of the above and water still gets in. I've left it and rotted hubs, bearings, spindles and replaced and repeated. If...
