Looks like Tasca has OE slave cyls in stock https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-slave-cylinder-9l5z7a508a?c=Zz1jbHV0Y2gmcz1oeWRyYXVsaWMtc3lzdGVtJmw9MSZuPUFzc2VtYmxpZXMgUGFnZSZhPWZvcmQmbz1mLTI1MCZ5PTE5OTUmdD14bHQmZT01LThsLXY4LWdhcw%3D%3D

ZF bearing noise "name that tune"

Drove it to work this morning, I owe @JB Fab $5. I shot the TOB with a small amount of WD40 and the sound went away for about 30 seconds and then came back. Pretty sure it's cooked... sure beats rebuilding the trans

ZF bearing noise "name that tune"

It was quiet this evening, it would be nice if it's just the TOB. I bought what was supposed to be a genuine Motorcraft from RockAuto. I looked into the process to rebuild the ZF, that looks beyond my capability/tools.

ZF bearing noise "name that tune"

Yeah, its not the normal ZF bearing rollover noise. This sounds like metal on metal contact, I'll try and record a sound clip. I'll look for TSB's, thats a really great idea. Thanks!

ZF bearing noise "name that tune"

About a year ago I swapped in a new clutch with new slave (this is a zf with the slave and TOB combined). I'm getting a high pitch chirp and grinding sound in gear. The sound slows down and stops when the clutch is depressed. Since the TOB and pilot bearing are new, my guess is that the input...

Best electric fan money can buy?

I've had really good luck with this fan, the shroud is about the same size as the radiator core for the Bronco and is pretty low profile https://www.therangerstation.com/tech_library/volvo_electric_fan.shtml

    Captain Crunch 2.0

More progress today, swapped out the brake booster and master cylinder (need a flare adapter to finish the job), installed some turnbuckles to reinforce the top of the windshield and started replacing my harmonic balancer.

    Captain Crunch 2.0

Nothing real exciting today, just replaced the brake booster pivot (the old duffs one had a bunch of play in it), cleaned the garage and let the bikini top get some sun to get the wrinkles our from being wrapped up for 2 years.

ME A couple parts Broncos (mostly complete)

Looks like the red one is a 67, the vin/warranty tag will be next to the parking brake pedal instead of the glove box.

302 low rise intake manifold recommendation for hood clearance

I run a ford performance dual plane with an Edelbrock 500 cfm 4 barrel and the stock air cleaner. Plenty of room to close the hood...

    Captain Crunch 2.0

Pulled the hard top this afternoon, I used Tie Boss pullies. Much better than ratchet straps, if I let go by mistake, they lock the rope in place.

    Captain Crunch 2.0

Now that I have a few more miles on the setup I don't feel like I need the hoops. The only time the body roll is overly noticable is when i have all 4 seats full. I halfway want to add them for looks, but probably wont do it. Appreciate the insight

    Captain Crunch 2.0

Small project today, got some turn signal indicators and mounted them to the steering column cover. They're threaded on the back side, just need to open the screw holes up a bit so I can mount them.

    Captain Crunch 2.0

Finished wiring them in, man are these bright. I need to adjust the mounting tabs to get the beams where I want them. They were aimed about 15ft in front of the Bronco lol. Also noticed it's harmonic balancer time, it looks like it's about to separate and the engine was vibrating a good bit.
