    4bt Cummins Diesel build Thread

Got the motor mounts all fab-ed in. Lots of measuring and tweaking to make sure everything fits. Have the motor about as far back as I can get it without hitting the firewall. Looks like the FW Dana 60HP may clear without having to notch the oil pan. Moving the motor back certainly helped that...

    4bt Cummins Diesel build Thread

I haven't driven in a rig with atlas 2 or 4 so just basing my opinion on what I read, youtube videos and what makes sense in my mind. Of course the $1000 more isn't something I'm excited about. Would really like to drive in a atlas 2 to see if its enough. Well, the good news is I have plenty...

    4bt Cummins Diesel build Thread

Thanks I'm leaning towards the Atlas 4 because I really like that it gives you more options for what ever your conditions are. Not sure how much longer it is than the Atlas 2 but, I stretched my rig a couple inches in the rear so maybe that will help. Tonight I'm cutting out all the old motor...

Older "non-reinforced" fiberglass hood shock link needed

    .............Dana 60, C-wedge question........

Ok......I'm starting to get a better handle on this now. Sounds like having the motor swap and all done first, then mocking up the front axle is going to give me the best understanding of what kinds of drive shaft angles I will have ......which then tells me what angles my Dana 60 will need to...

4BT Starter or Notch? Any Advice?

Gathering parts for my 4BT swap and need to get a new Starter. I have read that our Broncos have a clearance issue that some guys over come by notching the frame to clear the 4BT's starter. I have also heard there may be a starter that fits more flush and skips the frame notching. Does...

The '68 Cummins 4bt Brick Build

Hey Doug and Big A Hey Doug and Big A What turbos did you guys end up going with? I know I could read through all your build threads but I thought this might be a little quicker. Turbo selection is such a person specific and build specific choice. I'm still trying to find out what other...

    Best rear seat upgrade help

Great conversations on seats guys. Thank you for all the tips. I'm really leaning towards the explorer seats for my application. I like that they flip forward and even have a gas lift shock to assist. I'm going to have to start searching the salvage yards to find my seats. Keep the info coming.
