    Combined wiring diagrams finished

I just wanted to put it out there that I finally finished making single page wiring diagrams for 1972-1977. If you remember, these were in multiple pages which made them a pain. Oh, and I made them in different versions too. I'd be curious if you have a preference. Also, let me know if you...

    dome light upgrade - yours?

I'm fishing for ideas. I've been looking for something to mount on the roll cage, has bright LEDs, and is made well. Also it can't run on batteries. I want to wire it in as the battery game gets old. I haven't had much success for some reason so I thought I'd see what others have done. Oh, as...

    Tuffy glove box question

I've no experience with these, but I need to know. Can you remove one with the roll cage installed? Installation looks just like the picture on the home page of this website.

Thread sealant, heater hose, temp sensor

Anybody have any advice on thread sealant? I'm putting in a new brass heater hose fitting in an aluminum intake manifold and also a brass temp sensor in same manifold. I'm changing them to lower the profile for clearincing a new distributor. Previously both had teflon tape. Somewhere in my...

    DUI distributor questions

So, I'm working on a 71 Bronco with a 302 and the owner would like me to put in a DUI distributor. From what I've gathered, since this has a 1" body lift the distributor should fit under the hood. What I don't know is if the width will be a problem. I'm attaching a picture to show the two...

Painless fuse block to Tuffy Security Glove Box?

Does anybody have experience mounting a Painless fuse block to a Tuffy Security Glove box? The reason I ask, is that the glove box has what I assume to be a cutout for a stock fuse block. In other words, do these two things play well together? Will the Painless fuse block cover the holes already...

Bronco gets a new harness and more.

Hi all, I've been enlisted to install a new harness in a friends Bronco. It's something I like to do and was happy to oblige. I was going to just do it, but thought you might like to go along with me for the ride, thus this thread. Also I like advice from others so feel free to give me any input...

    What color is your Bronco?

"What color is it?" or "What color was it originally?" These questions come up a lot and I didn't see a particular page dedicated to the answer. I was just thinking it would be nice to have a post to refer to for an easy reply instead of looking at pictures and guessing Here's a pic of a 1968...

    rear 9" needed

I need a complete rear end. I'm not picky about the bearing size but would like 4:11 if I can get lucky about that. It needs to be close enough to me to pick up and cheap enough that I can afford it. :) Can you help a brother out? I need to be back in the saddle again. thx, SB

Where to get long coaxial cable?

I have a stock antenna in which the coax has been cut. Since it needs replacing, it might as well get a longer one to reach the center console. Anyone ever replace their stock coax? Is it easy to find the right female end for the stock antenna? Is this a job for a CB supply place? Thanks, sb

    Painless 20 circuit install

I recently finished installing the new 20 circuit harness from Painless for a fellow board member and want to get down in type the good and bad while it's still fresh in my mind. In short, it's more work than the Centech but worth it if you want more than a basic harness. good: The waterproof...

Can a starter solenoid get stuck?

I had a strange thing happen today. I just finished re-wiring a Bronco and after checking things out and all looked well, I started it up only to find that the starter kept spinning. I immediately turned the key off but it kept running. I had to pull the coil wire to kill it. At this point I'm...

    ?painless fuseblock ashtray install?

I'm putting in the 20 circuit harness and want to install the fuse panel in the ashtray location like others have done. I just now held the panel up to the opening and find that the mounting holes are narrower than the ashtray hole. My question is for those who've been there, how did you do it...

    Help please with FAQ section

I've been trying for awhile to figure this out on my own but I can't, I give up. What's the trick to reading the FAQ's? For example I see in the Engine FAQ's that there are 6 threads and 13 posts but I can't find them. So, help me out here. I'm tired of feeling dumb. ?:?

How 2 attach vin tag 2 glovebox door?

Okay so my glovebox door is mia. I understand Martiworks will repro the vin tag. I was smart enough to take some digital pics of it and so I have all the info it had but while sitting here thinking about it I'm not seeing how to attach pop rivets with access to only one side. Who's done this...

My stolen Bronco has been recovered! Pics Added

Believe it or not. Two years to the day. I got a phone call from the police saying it had been found up north around Snohomish near the power line road. It was impounded last night and someone was taken into custody. I contacted the tow company this morning and bailed her out. They're going to...

What is the stock '66 dash layout?

I haven't seen a good diagram for '66 dashes. Can you help fill in what I think I have figured out, or correct me if I'm wrong? left of the instrument cluster - top to bottom: 01 = lights 02 = washer 03 = choke right of the instrument cluster - top to bottom: 04 = emergency flasher switch 05...

    Never seen these before

New to me but maybe one of you Bronco veterans has seen these. Soft door tops on removable frames. I admit the thought has occurred to me but it seems Ford actually made these, or so the person claims who has an ad on another site. Anyway, this is the inside but unfortunately no pic of the...

We've lost one of our own

Those who have been around for awhile know Skuzzlebutt. It seems he has passed away. I don't know the details but feel I should pass this on to everyone. I met him personally last year when he was gracious enough to give me some parts I needed for my build. A finer Bronco brother there never...
