The stock carburetor on my 302 has been a little erratic. I rebuilt it and am still having trouble with the idle wandering. I have looked for a vacuum leak and cannot find one. I am thinking the throttle shaft has worn the bore in the carb body oversize. So, I bought a used 2150 with plans...

    random exhaust pop at idle

Hi all, My Bronco has a random exhaust pop at idle. If I place my hand over the tailpipe, I can feel a reverse flow timed with the pop. It runs fine at higher RPMs. The engine is a later year (1980?) 302, with a 1976 two barrel carb and distributor. Standard shift. It has dual exhaust with...

    Bronco firetruck at the fair

I saw this Bronco at our local fair today. I hope the owner doesn't mind me posting up some photos. The last photo is when the Bronco was still an active firetruck with the local town. This was the mid 1990's. (Sorry for the quality, it's a photo of a photo.) In the late 1990's, this Bronco...

    Camber shims?

Doing some maintenance on my Bronco, I found this shim between the spindle and knuckle. This is the first time I have torn it down this far. The Bronco is a 1976 with about 3 inches of suspension lift. It has 33 x 10.50 tires. It has driven very nicely. Should I leave the spacer in place...

The center section in my rear axle has gone south. I have a backup, but I'm not sure if it is good. How can I determine if it is any good? I am mechanically inclined and I have inspection tools. (magnetic base and dial indicator) I hate to swap it out without at least trying to check it on...

    Sway bar "W" bracket fabrication

I have a sway bar to add to my Bronco with all the pieces EXCEPT the "W" brackets that mount to the radius arms. They seem hard to find, so I decided to make my own. I found several pictures on this site and took dimensions from the radius arms and sway bar. This is what I came up with.
