Wonder if I need a new sending unit ;D

Dropped my tank that has sat for a few years, and emptied out the old gas. Looks like a thick sludge is stuck to the bottom of the tank (like alligator skin). I'm guessing that will wash out with a pressure washer. And I think I need a new sending unit! HA! I wonder if this is why the gas gauge...

    ID this fuel tank manufacturer?

PO installed this fuel tank in my Bronco, and I can't quite make out the label. I'm just curious about it, so wondering if anyone here recognizes enough of this label that they can tell me who manufactured it? Thanks!

    Welding--Pre and Post Weld Sequence

Hey y'all, finally welding new floorpans and such into Annie B this weekend. I know a bit about Broncos, and nothing about welding. My buddies know a lot about welding, and nothing about Broncos. :) I hate to be the guy who asks a question for the millionth time. I have read a ton of threads...

    NC 2 liftgate U brackets

I'm looking for two U brackets from the liftgate. They are the lower brackets which connect the liftgate hinge to the hard top. My JBG hydraulic liftgate kit came with everything...except those two brackets. And my rig is missing everything related to the liftgate. Thanks!

    Firewall Insulation

Quick question. I am missing the firewall insulation on the passenger side, so I ordered a firewall kit from one of the vendors. I'm not sure how I thought I would need to install it, but it appears that I have to remove everything from the firewall (dash, steering wheel, various cables, etc...

    Body work/rust repair: Advice needed!

Ok, so I'm getting ready to repair my Swiss cheese floor pans, and replace my rotted windshield frame. My Bronco has a hard top on, and no doors. My Bronco will never be a beauty queen. I want her to not be an eyesore, and to be capable off road. In other words, I don't care about her looking...

    Torch weld floor pans?

Hey y'all, I'm planning my projects for the next couple of months, and the forecast calls for welding. 8-) I know nothing about welding, but my buddy can torch weld. He says he "academically knows how to MIG weld, but no practical application experience". So, can floor pans and track bar drop...

The Annie B in Dry Docks

Hey everyone! Good to be back on CB with you fine folks. It's been a loooong time. I was on here a lot back in 07/09 when I was working on my Anne Boleyn. At that time I had 0 automotive experience, and y'all were a huge help. Some time after that, I encountered an electrical issue that I still...

Fuel spraying from filter, and she thinks she's "on".

Thought I'd start a new thread, as my previous electrical problem seems to be resolved. I tried to start her and then... ...gas starts pouring spraying out of the fuel filter, and she wouldn't quite turn over (hasn't been run in a long while). AND to make matters worse, she got stuck in the...

Hey y'all, long time, no post! I've got a situation that I have to resolve pronto. I live in an HOA condo community, and they are tired of seeing ol' Annie B sitting there not driving, and are threatening to tow her. I haven't been driving her because there is some electrical problem...

Hey y'all! I'm pretty sure the answer is staring me in the face, but this Southern heat and humidity is getting to me. I went to fire Anne up, and I got a buzzing sound. Couldn't exactly tell where it was coming from. Pulled the battery out, cleaned the connections and such. Put...

    Carb Vent Tube Extensions

hey fellas, got a quickie: i'm doing a whole laundry list of mods to my edelbrock to make it more off road worthy. one of the mods is to make a vent tube extension. it seems most info i find about this is to take a tube, bend it into a "U" shape and crimp the ends. then drill a few holes at...

    Carb cleaning/rebuilding?

So in typical fashion i jumped into this and am now like...hmmmm.... i took apart my edelbrock 1405 to clean it up some. one of the accelerator pumps wasn't squirting like it should, plus, i just figured it wouldn't hurt to get a little hands on knowledge of a carb. i've been reading a ton on...

    Disc Piston

Hey guys, gotta quicky here: while tweaking my disc brakes, i took the calipers off the backing plates. at this point someone, who will remain anonymous, pressed the brake pedal. this pushed the piston, and therefore the brake pad, in a ways. now the caliper won't fit back on. besides taking...

In The Zone: A Parts Tale

Our story begins with Matthew needing a few parts from AutoZone. He has only been working on his Bronco for a couple of months, but has already realized that most of the chain parts store employees do not know much about their products. He usually scopes out the people behind the counter and...

Anyone else have this problem? Every page I open on this site takes forever to load. And sometimes it stalls out and I get the internet explorer "page won't load" error message. Every other website I can zip from here to there and back again, but for some reason this site takes an eternity...
