Haven't been here in a while...

I haven't been on the site for a while now. Life gets busy so I browsed occasionally but haven't posted in a while. I still have my bronco. I think the last postings I had about it were while I was narrowing the body 10". That has been done for about 8 years now and I have just been enjoying the...

    New dash done...finally!

I have been slowly working on my narrowed bronco project for while now. It is getting close but still a bit to go before its done. 3 weeks or so is my guess. Anyway I finished up my dash this weekend. It was one part of the project I was not looking forward to as I knew I there was a bit of...

New upgrade in process....Narrowing the entire body 10"!

I haven't been on for a very long time but I have not forgotten about my Bronco! I was inspired by a build thread a couple years ago done by Steve. It was easier to narrow the body than I expected but all the little stuff that comes along with it is very time consuming! I am still working on it...

I have not been terribly active on here for a while but I have not forgotten about Broncos and classicbroncos.com! As many of you may know I have taken a break from bumper building. I finally got the urge again so I agreed to take on a completely new bumper design. Rtreads(customer/friend/member...

    Yukon Hardcore axles

So I bought the standard 4340 Yukon axles 3 years ago. Since then I have had both stubs warrantied out once each. Then I broke a lf inner axle. Then I twisted another stub so I bought a Yukon hardcore stub to replace it. Well this weekend I was SNOW wheeling with almost no traction and the RF...

How old is my adapter plate?

Well I just finished pulling my transfer case and adapter housing to figure out what the problem was. I was puking transmission fluid out between adapter plate and the np435 from a recent wheeling trip (Ended up that all 4 bolts that hold the adapter plate to the transmission were loose). Got it...

    Long story.. Cooling system/engine issues....

So I sold an engine to a fellow member here(actually an entire bronco that he took the engine from). When I got the Bronco originally the PO told me the engine was completely rebuilt and was only run long enough to break the cam in. Looking at the engine it was believable as it had new gaskets...

    Issues with Yukon warranty info?

I twisted a Yukon (not hardcore)stub shaft recently. I have tried to contact the company I purchased it from 3 times and have had no luck. Tried calling yesterday and only got to the person in charge's voicemail. Have not heard back. It has been 3 weeks now! I am not waiting on the shaft luckily...

Nice to see some difference for the better!

I just received mt new Yukon Hardcore stub shaft today to replace a twisted spline Yukon older stub shaft. Noticed some differences right away.....The machining looks much nicer on the new stub, the splines look cleaner, the heat treating discoloration looks more uniform, the 4340 stamp is much...

    Won't stop!

My Bronco doesn't want to stop when in 2 low with the brakes held at idle! Not really a problem, just that I noticed it today when messing around! I just completed my fuel injection and was seeing how slow it would go with the lower idle(carb idled at 1200 rpm and EFI idles around 700). I hit...

I am thinking I need bigger tires....

I would like 39.5 Iroks but my buddy has some 54 Baja Claws laying around that I put up next to my bronco for the heck of it. WOW, they are BIG! My Bronco is 5.5" of lift with 36" tires so my bronco is not very small but the tires make it look small! Sorry for the tiny cell phone pic..

Unexpected result ends with ability to talk

I just finished up my EFI conversion on Monday. For some reason(assuming more air flow in equals more air flow out) the exhaust became much, MUCH louder. Pretty much to the point that I wasn't sure I wouldn't get pulled over for it. It was just 2 cherry bombs and very short length. So I went and...

I am looking for 4.88's or 5.13's for my bronco(ford 9" and standard rotation dana 44). Looking for a good deal on new or used. I am also willing to trade my stock good condition 4.11's for some of the above gearing! Let me know! TIA! ;D

First EFI start attempt failure! Code 87??

Well I got my fuel pumps today and installed them. I tried to prime the system before first start and it would not run the pumps. So I tried to crank it. Still didnt run the pumps. Now I am getting code 87 "Fuel pump primary circuit failure. When the FP relay was activated by the EEC, voltage...

Searched a while and now just want a definite yes or no!

About to plumb my EFI lines and was going to use one of the vent lines on my stock rear tank(only running a rear tank) but got to looking at it and it seems small. Will a stock 3/16" vent line be sufficient for an EFI return???
