    Removing welded windshield

That is a cool idea. In my case I will be welding them up. I am doing a bit of other metal work on the windshield frame to convert the frame to a glue in window like modern windows. Much less chance of water leaks. David

    Removing welded windshield

Thanks for the info. I am eliminating the over the windshield wiper motor, so wires inside the frame is not an issue. The door alignment is a concern, but I would not fully weld it until everything is mocked up in place. My rollcage is a full race style cage welded to out riggers below the A...

    Removing welded windshield

Now give me a break and I know this is a dumb question, but what is wrong with just welding the windshield frame in place? I know it would not be original and you could not tilt down the windshield to the hood, but how many people ever do tilt it down? I would understand a full out restoration...

    Blueprint 302 (365 HP) vs 347 (415 HP) vs 408 (450 HP)

Lookup Chris Wilson and Glen Straightiff Class 3 Early Bronco. My build is based on their build. I have been friend's with Glen for 20+ year's and I have learned a lot from him. David

    Blueprint 302 (365 HP) vs 347 (415 HP) vs 408 (450 HP)

The price I got for a Dart Block was $13k for parts alone. Keep in mind, that included tax and shipping along with getting high quality parts, like the $3k for heads, all top quality ARB race bolts and all the best accessories. Not the cheapest stuff, but the best prices I could find on the race...

    Blueprint 302 (365 HP) vs 347 (415 HP) vs 408 (450 HP)

A couple months ago I priced out a Dart Block, with a Eagle 408 kit, AFR 220cc Renegade heads and the rest of the parts to get to a ready to install long block. The price before the EFI stuff was around $9500. I already have most of the Holley Terminator X MPFI system, which was around $3500...

    "Condensation" on hydroboost hoses

I would suggest checking the fittings for leaks. I don't know if they are o-ring fittings, that can leak sometimes. When I get around to the hydroboost, I plan to have professional lines made for the 2010 Superduty system I have for mine. I just see so many problems with reusable hose fitting...

    Rear Axle Housing: Opinions?

I tend to agree with you. I ran my Currie 9" for 20+ year's with 31 spline axles, 4.10 gears and a Detroit Locker. That was in a 1986 Full-size Bronco with under 300hp and running 35x12.50x15 tires. Most people will be in that situation and it will work well. Now in my case, I am pushing the...

    Rear Axle Housing: Opinions?

I have not ruled out a 1 ton for axle. When I put the 9in Currie in, I put it in along in the driveway. I helped a friend put a 14 Bolt in his Blazer and it was significantly heavier. I think the OEM brake Drums were the extra weight compared to the 9" drum brakes. So what is the widest full...

    C4 to 4r70w Swap Questions

$1500 to $2500 is not bad. I assume that is not a performance model, but just a OEM rebuild. I paid $5500 for my 4r100 with a performance shift kit and a upgraded converter. Last time I had my AOD rebuilt with a shift kit it was close to $3000. You get what you pay for. David

    Blueprint 302 (365 HP) vs 347 (415 HP) vs 408 (450 HP)

As for the injectors, my plan is Bosch. From what I have been seeing on most of the Holley Terminator X online forums, the Bosch injectors are fairly reliable and they have a good history of quality control. We put the new MSD Off-Road digital 6 box in a friend's F150 with a 408w and it worked...

    WH hydroboost fine tune

I drove a Superduty with the power adjustable pedal assembly and loved it. It is so much nicer than just moving the seat or steering wheel. So when I found a full set on Ebay, I had to have it. [emoji16] David

    WH hydroboost fine tune

I picked up the Hydroboost system from a 2010 F350 Superduty. I got the Master cylinder and even the power adjustable pedal assembly. I wanted something semi easy to get parts in the future from a normal auto parts store. It will go in my 72 project with custom bracket to angle the master...

    Blueprint 302 (365 HP) vs 347 (415 HP) vs 408 (450 HP)

I am on the same boat with deciding on a 408w or 427w. I have a bone stock 1989 351w out of a Bronco. If I do a 408, I can have the Block I already have clearanced for the 408 stroker. The 427 would be nice, but that would require an aftermarket block. I would get a Dart or Ford Motorsports R...

    Trans Tunnel/Firewall Boot ideas???

Maybe a sheet metal bracket that uses two metal brackets that sandwiches a sheet of rubber. Then make a rubber gasket out of neoprene closed cell material. Then use a hot knife or heated piece of metal. Melting it would help not splitting beyond what you want opened up. The metal brackets could...
