Question about cut Bronco with bigger tires on stock suspension

Thank you. Out of curiosity I measured tire height today. Right at 33.5” tall, so on the smaller side.

Question about cut Bronco with bigger tires on stock suspension

I ended up going with Wildhorses 4x4 1.5” lift front coil springs and stock height 10 pack leaf springs. No body lift. Tires are 315/75/16 on 16x8 wheels with 4” backspacing. I cut fenders to match up to Wildhorses gorilla warfares, which are some of the larger flares out there. Made my own slim...

    My LS3/6L80e Engine Swap…..no haters please.🙏

Here are pictures of driver's side motor mount on mine from top (pic 1) and front (pic 2). Yeller can describe further.

LS Motor Swap.... Has it been done?

I’ve had mine on the road for a little over a year now. Still 100% happy with the choice. If you need to measure or look it over I’m in central Houston.

    LORE Bronco restore

Looks awesome! When it cools down maybe we can find a time to meet up. Would love to check it out in person.

    Cutoff Inner kick panel excess?

I trimmed it back because of look with the flares, but maybe more than you are thinking because I don't have factory rockers.

Newbi needs list of recommended manuals for 1973 Bronco

The Ford truck shop manual set is what I would recommend. Ebay is best source. Here is one example, but plenty more listed. https://www.ebay.com/itm/266090900032?mkcid=1&mkrid=711-53200-19255-0&siteid=0&customid=link&campid=5335857059&toolid=20001&mkevt=1

    BAT Craziness

Hammer price $350K on this one. https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1977-FORD-BRONCO-CUSTOM-SUV-262629

    BAT Craziness

Hammered for $395K. Mid bidding Steve Davis of B-J said they were hoping for $600K. That only moved it from low $300Ks to the $395K.

    BAT Craziness

This one will be interesting and it is time relevant as it crosses B-J this afternoon. This 4 door was no sale at $300K on BAT back in late 2021. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1968-ford-bronco-54/ https://www.barrett-jackson.com/Events/Event/Details/1968-FORD-BRONCO-CUSTOM-SUV-265173

    BAT Craziness

$291K must be the magic number for Icon on BAT. This orange one sold for same price, though in early 2019. I much prefer it but different strokes for different folks., https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2019-icon-autotype-icon-br-old-school-66/

    Tilt Steering or No?

I have the packaged Ididit tilt column kit from Wild Horses 4x4. I like it but turn signal stalk feels flimsy to me. I do use the tilt function getting in and out because my seats have high bolsters that make it difficult to climb in and out unless you drag across the bolster.

    Carpet supplier

I suggest looking at Stock Interiors. I believe they use ACC carpet, similar to comment above, but it is cheaper to buy from SI rather than ACC directly. You can get free samples from SI too. I've bought two Bronco carpet sets from SI, one set of 80-20 loop with mass backing and one set of...

Absolute best heat reduction user friendly pad/mat/liner...???

As Yeller states, I have a lot of this product in my Bronco trying to quiet it down and keep it cool since I don't have any HVAC and am in Texas. I have two layers of Dynamat Extreme on firewall, floor and bulkhead, topped with one layer of 1/8" Dynaliner type foam (specific product I bought is...
