    Steering feels light....darty

I can tell you the camber can definitely create the "darty" steering response. My son and I just did a restoration on a 73 with a Dana 44 and ball joints, after putting the drive train back together you could see the tops of the 35" tires were tilted out quite a bit. We left it like this until...

How do I know if wire is live?

A clamp on amp meter will tell you if the wire is connected and supplying power to something without penetrating the wire. The trick is that whatever the wire is supplying power to must be on, otherwise no current will be passing through the wire and the amp meter will show nothing. You will...

Long tube headers and starter issue.

I bought the WH long tube headers and they went right in. I worked from underneath the truck and put them in from the bottom. Have you tried that?

I think I reached my shipping cost breaking point

Check out partsgeek.com. I ordered a new LUK clutch from them for $99.00 with free shipping. They also carry the flywheel and harmonic balancer.

    Leak from Heater Box Area

Here's a picture of the heater intake...you can see the three drain holes at the bottom. Other than the grate you see in this picture, there is nothing else that prevents anything from getting though. The heater core is what really stops any leaves from getting blown into the cab!

    Leak from Heater Box Area

Look at the picture again, you see the almost five inch diameter hole in the kick panel on the side just in front of the door? That is where the air from the hood vent goes. If you look behind the fender you will see a black plastic housing covering this big hole. That is part of the heater...

    Leak from Heater Box Area

The upper cowl has no holes in it under that heater box intake. The intake is attached to the outside of the kick panel with about 8 screws. If you look at the picture it is only a flat piece of sheet metal under the heater box intake. It is very common to have rust through at each end of the...

Perma-Loc Rocker nuts and Bronco Script Valve covers

Has any one used the ARP Perma-Loc racker arm nuts with Bronco Script valve covers. I do not have roller rockers but want to stop the nuts from backing off every few months. Will these fit under the Bronco Script valve covers? Thanks, Scott

rear output shaft or that ujoint close to it.

Pull the rear drive shaft out, lock the front hubs and put it in 4 wheel high and go for a drive. if its the drive shaft CV joint the noise will be gone. Then you just need to rebuild the joint or get a new shaft. If the noise is still there start looking at the other areas.

Pushed the clutch in while in deep water

Wheeling here in South Florida involves mostly swampy deep mud and water, the issue we have with clutches and water is just like drum brakes and water. If the clutch is submerged and you push the clutch and disengage the pressure plate you have now soaked the disk in water. When you release the...

    Manual Steering Box Removal

Doesn't hurt to heat them up a little either. Then used the fork, puller, or hammers to persuade them to come loose. With the fork, if you think you are hitting it hard, get a bigger hammer!

    Borgeson PS kit help

First you need the double belt pulley's for the crank and the water pump. I have the alternator belt on the rear groove and the power steering belt on the front groove. The belt goes around the crank pulley, water pump pulley, and the power steering pulley. This assumes you are using v-belt and...

Any update on 16 y/o that was restoring eb?

This one? http://classicbroncos.com/forums/showthread.php?t=252084 It's running and looks great! Now he's afraid to drive it. He will take it out to cruise or to do some wheeling (it's a beast offroad)but won't drive it daily. He's scared it'll get messed up or stolen.

Which Headers most trouble free to install?

I installed the ceramic long tube headers from WH. It was simple they went in from the bottom with no problem and the have the ball socket so no leakes. No issues with bolt clearance using Stage 8 bolts.

    Dimmer switch location

Can anyone post a pic of where on the floor pan the dimmer switch gets bolted? The previous owner started a floor pan replacement and the holes were already gone. I just need to know how far up from the transition it should be and should it be horizontal or vertically mounted. Thanks!
