    Rear axle bearing removal help

I watched several on youtube but don't have any in particular to recommend. Basically its: -pull the axle off the bronco -cut the bearing off -press the new bearing on -remove axle seal -put in new axle seal. I read to put gear oil on the new seal, so I did that. You need something about the...

    Rear axle bearing removal help

Getting this part off turned out to be really easy once I realized that I could turn my cutoff wheel 90 degrees. Hate to admit that idea didn't come to me right away. I made another cut or two perpendicular to the one in my pic, at the top. Hit it with a chisel and popped right off. If your...

    Rear axle bearing removal help

When I pulled the axle the bearings just fell right out - bearing was destroyed. I knew something didn't sound right back there on my way home Thursday, took it to the shop Friday morning and they told me everything was fine and it was just the exhaust vibrating and I should mount it better. I...

    Rear axle bearing removal help

I can't fit this between the bars of the HF 20ton press, and don't have anything good laying around to fabricate some kind of spacer. Need to get this bearing off but c ant get it to split and didn't want to cut into the part that's not part of the bearing. Also is the flange supposed to fit...

    quick dumb water pump question

Previous owner said my motor is a '91 F150 block w/ 93 cobra intake. Autozone has different part numbers for water pumps for the mustang and F150 Any idea which one would be the better bet to get? Can probably just get both and return one but I'd probably get lazy and never return the unused...

    move driver seat farther back

I truly do like the stock seats, i think I have better posture in them than in other car seats or something like that. I don't really know what it is but I feel better after a 12 hour ride to toledo in the bronco than I do in other cars. But my knee hurts from holding down the gas at the angle...

    move driver seat farther back

Thanks Paul. I think you're right and unless someone replies with a perfect solution I will probably just go with that. I have enough projects going on that I don't need to be over engineering this. I appreciate the advice - though I would still very much like to see what others have done if...
