    Rear Frame Horn Outside dimension

Outside to outside is 29 1/4. 27 center to center. Not sure what you're asking for as far as fitting firm as the factory bumper secures using 4 carriage style bolts through square cutout in bumper then through hole in frame.

    Steering linkage measurements

^^ my setup. Get tapered sleeves for the tie rod ends to fit the knuckles. I also went bought a new adjuster sleeve and clamps but it extends out no problem. Your other options are new setup $$$ or custom shortened full size tie rod

    ZF Trans Swap...S542 vs S547

Hard to explain, other then it feels like you're driving a truck rather then a sports car. If I didn't need the added strength of the ZF behind a diesel I would've definitely went with a nv3550 or an AX-15 as they pretty much bolt in and don't add much to driveline length. With a ZF5 my front...

    ZF5 install parts list

With the 3.5" if you didn't order a shim you're gonna need one! I have WH 11 leaf packs and a 6 degree shim. Also I'm one of the ones with the bc crossmember. I had to cut and re-welded the mount to get everything centered, however if you're running a 205 you might want to leave it alone.

    ZF Trans Swap...S542 vs S547

Just make sure its right housing. Small block/big block. Only saying cause the only time i ever found a cheap ZF it was cause it was a big block/diesel. Like mentioned if you don't need a HD trans the M5od shifts way nicer. Both require really cutting into the floor and brace though. The m5od...

Question about 76 dana 44 that had drum brakes swapped onto it

Weird. My 76 also had drums with t steering setup. I never did look up the BOM to see if it was swapped out completely or just outers. Anyways, Im cheap so I always use 76-79 full size disks as they are abundant and swap the complete knuckle out, you'll just have to pick up sleeves if you want...

anyone retrofit a dana 44 from something else?

Id hold out for an early bronco 44. Or bump up to a 3.5" for a high pinion clearance as the 78-79 bronco axles are more common and fairly easy to shorten. 76-77.5 f250 dana 44s are low pinion drivers drop but then you have shortening axle/shafts, weld on wedges, and swap out the 8 lug. Might...

How does this attach to the front axle?

Maybe this will help, none have the main brake line which is what going for but the red one does show the other brackets going to the brake calipers.
