    C4 hanging 1-2 shift???

I just had my C4 rebuilt and had a similar issue, 1-2 shift was delayed and mine would not downshift to 1st when pulling out. There was debris floating around and was stuck in the governor. I pulled the TC out and cleaned out the governor and polished the valves. It was good for about 20 miles...

    C4 torque converter recommendation

What stock style converter did you run? My current one has the smaller bolt pattern and won't work with the new engine and flywheel. She runs and drives fine now the way it is and I want to keep it that way when I put the new engine in.

    C4 torque converter recommendation

33's and 4:10 gears right now, I may move up to 35's after the motor swap.

    C4 torque converter recommendation

The cam I put in was a Lunati 510A1. 272/282 advertised duration, 206/216 @.50 and .477 lift. Lobe separation is 112/108, rpm range is idle to 5000. Stock stall would be good for me up to about 2000 rpms. I haven't decided whether I'm going to put the factory EFI intake on it or go with a...

    C4 torque converter recommendation

I'm getting ready to pull the engine and install my 96 Explorer 5.0 into my 74. I will be using the explorer flywheel with the 11.5" bolt pattern and the original C4. What torque converter do you guys recommend? I'm just looking for stock stall speed or a little higher. Thanks!

Eliminate the fuel vapor expansion tank?

I was thinking about going the charcoal canister route. The rear tank looks like it has 2 vents? Would you just plug the one?

Eliminate the fuel vapor expansion tank?

I am thinking about removing the fuel vapor tank from the inside of my Bronco. It seems like there is a constant fuel smell inside the vehicle especially after I add fuel. I have replaced the lines to it with little help. Has anyone else done this? What else have you all done to upgrade the...

    Help, Electrical Issue

I've had some issues with poor connections in the fuse box for my dash lights and turn signals. Also, I ran new wiring to the rear for the taillights and brake lights and that seemed to take care of it.

    302 headers

Long tubes are nice but I vote for Shorty Headers just from the standpoint of serviceability. I had a custom Y-pipe built for my WH shorty headers that I can unbolt and remove in a matter of minutes. It makes it nice to have everything out of the way when you need to remove or work on the trans...

plastic tank behind inner quarter panel driver's side?

What, if anything has anyone used in place of the condensing tank inside the vehicle? I believe mine has a small crack in it because I always have fuel smell inside.

    More camshaft discussion

I researched this for awhile and went with the Lunati 20350611 (510A1). It's advertised at 272/282 duration and .477" lift with 1.6 rockers. The cam has a built in 4 degree advance for low end torque and is rated for idle-5000rpm. You can probably get away with your stock springs, but I did...
