    Hydroboost brake pedal return issue

I installed HB in my '68 a long time ago, and there's always been this issue with the pedal not coming all the way off, returning back to zero pressure. I can sense it when I take off and after braking and rolling that if I use my foot to lift the pedal, it frees up the brakes. Shrug...

    Occasional click and no start

Cables are pretty recent but yes, the relay faces the BC Broncos headers. It's closer to the alternator than the primary but if Ford moved it in later years, that's a big clue. We're starting to dry out here after a string of wet days so I'll probably turn wrenches this week.

    Occasional click and no start

I didn't replace the starter, the sticker was still on it from when I replaced it a few years back; it still looks new. Appreciate your input Steve! (y)

    Occasional click and no start

Thanks gang. I pulled the starter and had it tested, and I think I lost my Tag in the process. I remember taking my watch off, and I probably absentmindedly set it on the bumper of my F250... then drove off :mad: Tested fine, so I cleaned off the power lead where it attaches to the...

    Occasional click and no start

Occasionally lately, I've driven the bronco a short distance, started with no issue, when I get to my destination, let it sit, come back to it, no start, just a click. Come back to it later, it starts again. What are the common fail points in the ignition system and how do you test them? I...

I was thinking the linkage might be the issue. Thanks Todd.

You ever forget how you built something? Hydroboost

Also, while you two are eyes on, my pedal never returns fully, like i need to install a tension spring that I'm pushing against, a spring that would bring it back to the top of travel? When I put my toe under the pedal and lift it, the brakes fully release. Otherwise, there's always a...

Awesome, that rings a bell. What years for the Astro Van? Will check fluid on front res, rear is full though.

You ever forget how you built something? Hydroboost

I swear, I have a terrible memory about some things. I remember that I cobbled together everything about my hydroboost system. The hydroboost came from one thing, the master cylinder from another, the PS pump from something else... argh! The only reason it matters is I fired up the truck for...

    Help me choose wheels, please!

I like the 5 star wheel and honestly was hoping find a summit knock off of the pro-star drag lite, but I haven't been able to find that. Indys would be an option if I didn't have a self imposed budget constraint. I would probably be happy with the 17" version of my current wheels if they were...

    Help me choose wheels, please!

Indy wheel option was just more money than I wanted to spend. I’ve had it like this for 8 years and I’m ready to freshen it up. Not selling what’s on it until I’m happy with the new look. Nothing wrong with the current wheels and tires, they still have 60-70% tread on them. Thanks for the...
