It sees a lot of trail time so I need to be able touch it up with rattle can occasionally. Powered counting looks great but won’t work great for my application. Thnx fir the feedback tho.
I stripped my steel plate bumper down to bare steel with a wire wheel, cleaned it thoroughly with lacquer thinner and immediately sprayed with spray can primer. Is there a recommended grit of sand paper to sand it with before applying a coat gloss black (also rattle can).
Thanks!
I acquired an OEM skidplate that I’d like to install as a second line of defense to the one I made to protect the bottom of the gas tank.
I know the frame has threaded holes to accommodate the OEM skidplate bolts. Does anyone know what size and type of bolt was used to hold the skidplate on...
Hey CB friends!
Any tips/tricks for cleaning the inside of an OEM rear steel tank?
I’ll preface by saying that the tank is complete empty and inside is dry.
The tank is removed from the bronco, and I pulled the fuel pick up out of it as well.
I can get the loose stuff with a shop vac im...
Appreciate the responses. The one in the link from Toms is identical to the OEM and unfortunately offers zero protection on the bottom.
Paul, I think you’ll see once you check yours that it only covers the angled part of the tank on the “back”. The bottom is totally exposed and in may case has...
After 12 years of wheeling on the rocks I finally punched a hole in the stock rear tank of my 73.
I’d like to replace it with another factory tank but the factory skid plate will absolutely not suffice since it offers zero protection on the flat bottom surface.
Is anyone running a skid plate...
Anyone know where the info can be found that used to be on the
Oldfuelnjection.com website?
Tried to access it a few times lately and it just redirects to some funky URLs.
Thanks!
Brandon
Hi there! Any updates on this swap? I just brought home a 97 explorer motor this weekends trying to re read all
Of the old threads on this. Would love to see what progress you’ve made since last June!
Thanks Steve! I can’t say for sure that I need a smaller pulley but I thought it might be a good preventative measure after reading a bunch of posts on the issues with low volume/poor steering at low speeds that have popped up after folks added hydro assist.
Great to see y’all at OCBR by the way.
Currently running a hydroboost a dual return Saginaw pump from a ‘82 GMC 1-ton diesel. I’m planning to add hydro ram assist soon (4x4x2 box is ported for it).
The pulley I’m running currently is almost 6” in diameter. Wanting to reduce that as much as possible to increase the flow. Anyone know...
Posting for our friend Zac Dashner who has attended OCBR for the last two years and will be attending again this year and can bring the following transmissions that have been rebuilt and ready to bolt up to a SBF and D20. They include a stock spec torque converter.
C4 - new rebuild $1500
C6...
